So, the fault of analyzing in this way is also the same for you. All manifest phenomena, because there is no universal, and it is not permissible to have a common basis, so there will be these faults, but these faults are not there, because in your case there is opposition to dissimilar things from the perspective of exclusion. The third part has four points: using one word for one result; preventing the use of the way of universal entity; determining the way of one result; showing the way of using one word by analogy. The first point is: if the universal entity does not exist, and the excluded universal is fictitious, then it is unreasonable to use one word for many manifestations, if asked like this. Because in order to fully show the result of that cow, such as milking, plowing, etc., for those who make the same kind of result for different cows without a universal, the old wise man used the word "cow" as one word, this is dharmic. It is not the reason for having a universal entity, because it is the same as being opposite to things that do not have the result of that cow, so it is only the reason for exclusion. Why not use different words for each of the many things, but use one word? Because the many different manifestations of the cow are dharmic. It is not used with different words separately, because it is difficult to express with different words separately, it cannot be done, and even if it can be done, there is no result. The second point is: the word cow is dharmic. It does not refer to one universal entity, because the entities of all manifest phenomena are not mixed with other things, and abide in their own nature, so there is no one universal entity, because the nature of the spotted cow is not what the yellow cow has. The third point is: why are all the manifestations of the cow one result? Because both the spotted cow and the yellow cow are also dharmic. From the perspective of exclusion, it can be said to be one result, because you have the opposite of things that are not the result of that cow. Therefore, all the manifestations of the cow are dharmic. The difference in the use and non-use of the kind expressed by the word cow is unreasonable, because in the sense opposite to things that do not do the result of the cow, there is no difference, that is, there is none. Therefore, even if you want the statement that the manifestation of the cow is one result, it is only another exclusion that is different from things that do not have the result of that cow, because there is no universal entity of the cow. The fourth point is

Even though there is no entity, there are examples of multiple things using the same name because the result belongs to the same category. For example, the eye, etc., through appearance and attention, holds the form of consciousness, and because they are the cause of the same result, the name "cause of eye consciousness" is used. What is the necessity of doing so? Even if the nature of the eye, etc., is no different from the general entity, the dharma that is referred to by one thing that arises from the term "cause of eye consciousness" is necessary. Why? Because when there is no difference, that is, when it is necessary to universally show the cause of eye consciousness as the common result of the three conditions, it is in order to understand all three conditions simultaneously at some time. This is stated in the Treasury of Reasoning: "The affirmation and negation of different things, can understand the function of one aspect." Fourth, refuting the debate that asserts the general entity, is divided into two parts: refuting the use of the same name by the power of the general entity; refuting the production of the same result by the power of the general entity. The first part is divided into two parts: stating the opponent's view; explaining the refutation. The first part is: If it is not because of the same result that the same name is used for multiple things, but because there is a general entity, then for many appearances of cows, the name "cow" should also be used. The second part is divided into three parts: the reason for one existence is not established; there is no pervasiveness in the use of names; even if different but similar, there is pervasiveness. The first part is divided into two parts: refuting by examining the meaning of existence; pointing out the harm to existence itself. The first part is divided into two parts: examining the two extremes and refuting them together; refuting the two meanings of the examination separately. The first part is, the existence of one general in multiple appearances, does this mean that one general exists depending on multiple appearances? Or does it mean that multiple appearances cause one general to appear? If we examine these two situations, then it is unreasonable for this general, the reasons will be explained separately below. The second part is divided into two parts: refuting existence in a dependent manner; refuting existence in a manifest manner. The first part is: As mentioned above, if according to the first situation, then the appearing dharmas are not the basis of a permanent dharma general different from themselves, because the general is permanent.
