Just as the remaining part of the fruit produced from the earth is made into dye. If it is established merely by not seeing, it is also considered remaining, then what is the meaning of remaining, a rational person would ask? A rational person thinks that the cause producing the effect is with the previous, the effect producing the cause is with the remaining, the general dharma, merely beings possessing throats, etc., like this, generally appearing, these three are not the so-called remaining. And here, the other person who can speak is the subject. Not omniscient, because can speak. Like this, merely not seeing in the dissimilar side, it can excellently show the reversal, that is to say, the reason that serves as the basis for establishment is the subject. That is called possessing the remaining, because the dharma has been established, and it is the cause of doubt about falling into the dissimilar side. The second part has three points: The teacher asserts that there must be a necessary connection between cause and effect. If a connectionless reversal is established, then it is too much. It shows that the pervasion is established through the power of connection. The first point is: The teacher Dignāga, as the subject. In order for the cause to become correct, it is asserted that it is necessary to determine the nature of the connection. If there is no connection, then due to the reason of not being able to understand, the property of the subject will not be established, as well as the opposite meaning, that is, contradiction, and the contradictory remaining similar to this, and the deluded one, that is, the common uncertain, and the correct remaining similar to this, and the antidote to the uncommon uncertain, in order are the property of the subject, the subsequent occurrence, the reversal pervasion, that is to say, for the three ways of the reason, it is necessary to determine through the power of valid cognition. Because the Compendium says: "Whatever is completely established on both is the establishment." Both are the basis of the dispute and the similar side, and completely established means certain. Some also explain that Dignāga is like that. The second part has three points: Refuting by contradicting the scriptures of one's own school. Refuting through the common factual reasoning. Refuting by contradicting the commitments of other schools. The first point has six aspects: Reversal pervasion should not be what is said, it is too much. Remaining should not be delusion, it is too much. Sentient beings should be able to understand, it is too much. The doubter should become the cause, it is too much. The listener should exclude both, it is too much. Preventing contact should be reasonable, it is too much. The first point is: The teacher Īśvarasena, etc.

The mere non-perception in the dissimilar class establishes the refutation, and this is also accepted by the teacher. So, what is the point of having to state the reason for establishing the refutation pervasion on the dissimilar example to the opponent as a remedy for the uncertain fallacies in the argument? The subject, that is meaningless. If it is said that merely not seeing in the dissimilar class is the fruit or necessity of realization, then that necessity will be realized even if you do not mention it. If you admit that, then stating both contradiction and uncertainty as remedies in the argument for the time being contradicts the statement that "this is the argument." If it is said that even if one merely sees it, it is necessary to state it in order to ascertain that it does not exist in the dissimilar class, then if one does not realize that it does not exist merely because one has not seen it, then even with the words establishing the refutation pervasion on the dissimilar example, which states that the sign does not exist in the dissimilar class, the subject, you cannot establish with certainty that the sign does not exist in the dissimilar class merely from that, because you only state that the sign has not been seen in the dissimilar class, and you do not state the reason for its non-existence. If you say that it will also be like that for you, then if, as when the words establishing the refutation pervasion on the dissimilar example are stated, the subject, you realize that the sign does not exist in the dissimilar class, because the reason for the sign's non-existence in the dissimilar class, i.e., the relationship of the sign's nature, is stated, then the statement of establishment is without fault. Explaining the meaning of "stating the dissimilar dharma" as the statement of establishment of the dissimilar combination, because it must be admitted that the sign does not exist in the similar class from the statement "the sign does not exist in the dissimilar class," this contradicts the preceding and subsequent texts that prohibit the establishment of meaning from the statement, and it also cannot become a remedy for fallacies, and this method must be realized from the words. Secondly, if it is said that merely not seeing in the dissimilar class establishes the refutation, i.e., it is certain that it does not exist in the dissimilar class, then this statement is also the antecedent for all the following sentences. Like establishing that the remaining fruit is not ripe with the sign that is similar in appearance to the ripe fruit, the subject with remainder. If it is said that this is a fallacy of refutation pervasion, that is not right, because the sign is merely not seen in the dissimilar class
