Ro! Secondly, there are four: If it is permanent, it contradicts manifestation. If it generates essence, it is not a manifestor. Merely being free from obscuration is not manifestation. The arising of hearing is also not manifestation. The first is: If it is said that the letter is already established and permanent, then the sequence of manifestation by the tongue and palate is also speech. If it is established without doing that, then: The letter, the subject of the thesis, you are not manifested by the acting tongue and palate, because you are permanent. Because the manifestation of permanence by conditions has been refuted above. The second is: That letter, the subject of the thesis, the acting tongue and palate are the result, but it is not merely manifested by them, it should follow. Because your essence is established, that is, arises, from the very power of the actions of those actors. It pervades: In the meaning of what is to be manifested already established from its own cause, the manifestor itself manifestly knows, and the cause of the mind that grasps other manifestable objects is considered to be the manifestor, so it is impossible for the manifestor to generate the essence of what is to be manifested. Just as the light of a lamp makes a pot that has already been established manifest in the realm of consciousness. If the manifestor generates the essence of what is to be manifested in a way other than that, then this manifestor, the subject of the thesis, what difference is there from the proximate cause of the manifestable object, it should follow that there is no difference. Because it is the cause of the generation of the essence of what is to be manifested. Therefore, all letters, the subject of the thesis, are the main result of the acting tongue and palate, but they are not what is to be manifested, because your essence is definitely also the object of the collection of the actions of the acting tongue and palate. It pervades: Because it is impossible to generate essence in the cause of the manifestor. Here, the letter that establishes that the letter is born from the acting tongue and palate is named with the name of the letter in the part of the letter, and there are many such kinds. The third is: If you say that the acting tongue and palate only make the obscuration of the essence of that sound separate, then that is called a manifestor. Merely being free from obscuration, the subject of the thesis, why is the power of the collection of actions permissible to you, it should follow that it is not. Because you are not real. Other than sound, pottery and other things are also, the subject of the thesis, it should follow that they are what is manifested by clay and potters, etc., because sound is what is manifested by the tongue and palate, etc., what is it?

The way sound arises from the tongue, palate, etc., is no different from the way you think it arises from clay, etc. If you admit this, then clay, etc., as the nature of all materials, becomes meaningless in producing the essence of things like pottery, because it is merely the manifestation of things like pottery. If you think that the function of the tongue, palate, etc., is to manifest the sound that has always existed, how can sound be established as permanent? If you think that recognizing the past and the future as one, or combining what has always existed with expressing meaning, etc., as proof, then these two, as sound, are not the correct signs for establishing the permanence of sound, because you have no similar example to establish the permanence of sound, because things are destroyed in an instant. This reasoning that shows that there is no similar example to establish the permanence of sound has other necessities, because it is to refute other bad signs that establish the permanence of sound. Fourth, the manifestation of letters is the hearing that hears the manifestation of letters, and its order is the language of the Vedas. If you think so, then hearing should not be dependent on people, because it is the language of the Vedas that people have not created. If you admit it, then it should not be independent of people, because you think that wisdom is the merit of people, and that wisdom depends on people is established by direct perception, and that wisdom depends on people is well known in the world, and that wisdom changes with people, etc., are inferred based on signs, and they interfere with each other from independent perspectives at the same time. Third, the order outside of letters is negated by the previous one, and the order outside of letters is not a language that people have not created, because it has already been clearly blocked by the sign of the visible and the unseen. Fourth, therefore, it is established that the order is created by people, how can the order of letters not be dependent on people? Because even if the unity and difference of letters are not established, they are fabricated and established through conceptualization. Third, there are three situations to refute the permanence of sound and function, existence cannot make sound impermanent.
