Furthermore, children playing with dirt and the like are also subjects, becoming independent of people, because they are of beginningless time. Also, taking one's mother as a wife is a barbarian's term, and birth celebrations and the like are worldly terms, and the words of the materialists who claim there are no past or future lives are also subjects. Similarly, the Vedas should become not created by humans, because they are beginningless. The reason is established, because from beginningless time, they are caused by the accumulation of previous causes. Third, if you also assert that, then the Vedas are subjects. Even if it is established that they are not created by humans, what benefit is there in establishing that you possess the quality of being truthful? There should be no benefit, because it is similar to the establishment of inverted terms as not created by humans. Even if it can be established that the Vedas are not created because they are beginningless, the Vedas are subjects. From you, doubts about your own objects of expression will arise, because you see that the teachers who explain you explain the various differences in the meanings. Second, refuting based on examining the characteristics has three parts: refuting that letters are not created by humans, refuting that speech is not created by humans, and refuting that sound and power are permanent. First, if you assert that the Vedas are not created by humans, then assert that letters or speech are not created. According to the first, the letters are subjects. If you assert that they are not created by humans, what will be the result? There should be no result, because they are no different from other worldly letters, because the mind that recognizes them as one is the only reason, and the same recognition applies to them, so the sign is accepted. Second, there are two: speech other than letters is unreasonable, and the sequence of letters is not speech. First, there are two: refuting with the reason of observable non-observation, and refuting with the reasoning of analysis. First, if you assert that speech is not created, then speech is a subject. It is not different from letters in meaning, because there is no observation of difference in meaning from letters. If you accept this, it will become created by humans. Second, there are three: refuting by examining whether there are parts or not, refuting by examining whether it is permanent or impermanent, and refuting by examining whether it is pervasive or non-pervasive. First, there are two: refuting having parts, and refuting not having parts. First, there are two: one by one

Refuting all meaningless things. Refuting each meaningful thing. The first case is: if there is language other than letters, then that language either has multiple components or is indivisible and singular. If it has multiple components, that is, it possesses multiple parts, then can each component express the meaning of the entire language? If these different parts each do not have the ability to express the meaning of the entire language, then the parts of the language, as the subject of debate, since you cannot express the object of reference when you are not assembled, but you assume that you can express the object of reference when you are assembled, therefore it is falsely imputed. Because each of you cannot express the referent, but the assembly can express it, just like a Brahmin's child who is not a lion is considered to be a lion. If you admit this, it will become man-made. The second case is: if each part of the language contains the meaning of the entire language, then the language, as the subject of debate, your assumption that multiple parts are needed to understand the meaning is wrong. Because one of your components, through understanding, can also understand the entire meaning of the language. If it is said that all parts of the language are heard simultaneously, so understanding one part does not mean understanding all meanings, then the language, as the subject of debate, understanding meaning from you should not depend on the temporal differences of hearing your various parts sequentially. Because hearing one of your parts is the same as hearing all of your parts simultaneously. The second case is: if the language is indivisible and singular, then the language, as the subject of debate, it is impossible for your various parts to be understood sequentially, that is, to be heard. Because you have no different parts. The second case is: is the language other than letters impermanent or permanent? If impermanent, then the language of the Vedas, as the subject of debate, should be produced by effort. Whatever is impermanent, if there is no other cause than effort. If you admit this, then the language of the Vedas, as the subject of debate, why is it not man-made, but is man-made? Because it is produced by effort. If it is said to be permanent, then the language of the Vedas, as the subject of debate, the permanent should be cognized, that is, heard, because whatever permanent is audible, there is no obscuration of obstacles to hearing. If it is said that some of the auxiliary conditions for hearing the language are not complete, so it is not heard, therefore it is not permanent.
