Those who insist on not relying on the intention to express primarily, as the subject, the sixth case and the distinction of words, such as plurals, the entity of a cow is the cow itself, those words should not be used, because there is no difference in meaning. This is a similar objection. Second, according to our view, whether it is the sixth case or plural words, as the subject, it can be used even if there is no difference in meaning, because the speaker, i.e., the expresser, does not rely on external differences in meaning, but how the difference and non-difference of meaning itself is determined as expression. The expresser is also the expresser of the difference and non-difference of meaning. Third, if it is thought that the use of singular and plural is all caused by one or more things, then for one woman and one sand, as the subject, plural forms such as "consorts" and "sands" should not be used, because there is no reason for being distinguished. Also, six villages, as the subject, the singular form "row of mansions" should not be used, because there is no reason for being regarded as one. Or, quoting the following example, the sky, as the subject, "the nature of the sky" is the sixth case, and the statement "the essence of the sky is the sky itself," those words should not be used, because what difference is there in meaning for the reason of those words? There is no difference. Second, there are four ways in which words that summarize differences into one are used by eliminating concepts: differences appear as one, and are given the generality of the kind; what is given itself is denied in meaning; therefore, the concept of universal cognition is shown to be wrong; the cause of the transmission of error is explained. First, in the self-explanation, it says: "Now, then, how are those things that have a single returning nature called generality? Because they are unrelated and do not exist." If someone asks, "What is generality like?" It has already been explained. Things that are not mixed are each other, and things that are not related are the similarity of those that are the opposite of this. It also said, "Furthermore," for its meaning, some people think that generality is of two kinds: existing in meaning and existing in wisdom. The first refers to all pots being the same in being different from non-pots, which is called generality because it pervades all pots.
