Not shown. This method applies to all similar situations. The first case is that the reversal of sound concepts or the exclusion of others also applies. Although "reversal" and "exclusion" are not different in meaning, the statements "this cow is different from other horses" and "this cow excludes other horses" express the sound of dharma and dharmin, and the different certainties that depend on sound, these are dharmin. It is not used because of the difference in meaning, but follows only by convention distinguishing dharma and dharmin, because it applies to the assumption of distinguishing dharma and dharmin. The second case is divided into two: the use of the sixth case is reasonable; the distinction of convention is necessary, which is reasonable. The first case is, if dharma and dharmin are not different in meaning, then the sixth case sound such as "the cow's cow-ness" would not be necessary to distinguish, if it is said so, then the two sounds expressing dharma and dharmin both express the meaning of the same cow being different from the horse. Although only one is expressed, from the eight cases, the sixth case sound that distinguishes dharma from dharmin is dharmin. You use it to prove that dharma and dharmin are different in meaning, just as they have no other meaning, that is, it can be shown, because it is the expression of the subtle difference that distinguishes one expression object by convention. The second case is, if the two sounds both express the same reversal, then it is not necessary to distinguish dharma and dharmin by convention, if it is said so, then on the dharmin cow, there are many differences such as not being a horse and not being a buffalo. Abandoning other differences such as not being a buffalo, only the dharma of not being a horse, and not being a horse that does not abandon, these are dharmin. In order, the conventional difference of the expression sound itself of dharma and dharmin is the different basis or reason for use, because it is the difference that the understander of dharma and dharmin, that is, the listener's intention follows. Therefore, distinguishing the same meaning into dharma and dharmin is dharmin. This is necessary, because it is for understanding the same meaning in the way of abandoning and not abandoning other differences. The third case is that saying "not a horse" and "not horse-ness" is expressing the general and having generality. Similarly, white cow and the white of cow, etc.

To state qualities and things possessing qualities, and "a cow walking" and "the walking of a cow," etc., for all statements of actions and things possessing actions, substances are stated, i.e., things possessing qualities; and the sounds that state things, i.e., qualities, are things possessing qualities. There is no difference in meaning in what you want to express; your difference lies only in expressing the same meaning by abandoning or not abandoning other qualities. Moreover, because one wants to understand the meaning of the moment through abandoning or not abandoning other qualities, the expressing sound, whether it has the end of a beneficial cause, or the end of a cause with function, or the end of something other than that, or other unspecified things, such as white, etc., can be expressed, these sounds are things possessing qualities. There is no difference in the meaning of what is to be expressed other than abandoning or not abandoning other qualities, because it is only expressing the same meaning through various ways of expression. Secondly, for Buddhists who consider the sound of excluding others as the object, if one wants to express the difference that possesses the genus different from the meaning of the genus, then for the Vaiseṣika school, the fault of stating the same is eliminated, because there is no difference in meaning between returning and reversing. There is pervasion, because the genus, i.e., the universal, and those possessing it are different entities, and if one wants to apply words to differences through other universal meanings, then these three faults will occur. What are the three? The word, as a thing possessing qualities, does not freely apply to the manifest, because it applies to the manifest after stating other universal meanings. The qualities that exist in the manifest will not become the same basis, because the word has not abandoned the qualities that exist in the manifest. The word, as a thing possessing qualities, applying to the manifest is also merely imputed, because other universal meanings are stated, as Dignāga said. The third part has three points: showing that the fault falls on others, showing that one does not have that fault, and clearly explaining how the fault falls on others. The first point is that the Vaiseṣikas say that if qualities and things possessing qualities are not different, then the difference of the sixth case and plural words, etc., would not be reasonable. For the Vaiseṣikas and grammarians, the words of the sixth case and plural, etc., are expressed because things are different,
