it will necessarily become a helper. The ability of the particular to benefit the particular is related to your own nature, because they are of the same entity. If admitted, then, the knowledge of certainty of the particularized pot, as the subject, once one is known, it is known that the particular benefits all particularities, then both are established, and the particularities will necessarily become the helpers of the particular. If those are not its helpers, then they will not be determined as helpers, just as not understanding the servant, one will not understand his master. If it is said that the abilities to benefit various dharma particularities are different from the particular, so the fault just mentioned will not be committed, then, those abilities, as the subject, what are they of that particular? Because they must be unrelated. Because otherwise, there is nothing else that can benefit you, the particular. If it is said that this is not established, it is so beneficial, then the particular, as the subject, will necessarily become infinite abilities. Because the ability to benefit the particular must also be beneficial. Therefore, it must be considered that the ability is the same as the particular, and if so, if the particular is regarded as benefiting a particular through the determination that "the pot has been made," then this knowledge, as the subject, will necessarily grasp all the beneficial abilities of other particularities that it wants to regard as unseen. Because seeing the particularized pot in a established way, this particular is also not other than all the beneficial abilities of other particularities that it wants to regard as unseen, because this itself is one. If admitted, then, the knowledge of certainty that determines the pot, as the subject, if the particular is grasped through a particular, then all the particularities will necessarily be grasped. Because if it is regarded as benefiting a particular, then it is regarded as benefiting all the particularities. Third, if the particular pot is grasped through a particular like the completed particular, then even if all other particularities are grasped, certainty cannot be generated by this alone, therefore, due to relying on other particularities such as impermanence, etc., illusions, i.e., superimpositions, may arise, in order to eliminate it, it is desired to introduce sound and other valid cognitions, so it will not fall into the fault of becoming multiple situations, then, then the later sound and consciousness, as the subject, are the elimination of distinctions.

Therefore, it is established as something with a function of negation. Because it is a verbal consciousness that arises to eliminate superimposition. The knowledge that ascertains the pot has been made, which is other than that subsequent verbal consciousness, is also the subject. Like that subsequent one, it should be a negation function. Because it is a consciousness that arises towards an object where there is no superimposition other than its own way of ascertainment until its own function has not disappeared. Furthermore, the consciousness that ascertains the pot has been made is the subject. What are the natures of the pot's impermanence, etc.? How could those be your objects of clinging, or should they not be objects of clinging? Because you are valid cognition, and you have not ascertained the pot's impermanence. If you say, then the pot's impermanence, etc., should not be the objects of the pot's perception, because the perception has not ascertained them. This is not pervasive, because above there is the distinction of the sign "which valid cognition is it?", and that is not established in the pot's perception. If you say, then valid cognition will not realize all of its own objects. The pot's perception is the subject. Because it apprehends the pot, which has abandoned the distinctions of having been made, impermanence, etc., like a pot with distinct parts, there is no difference in realization in the ultimate sense, but in conventional terms there is a difference between realization and non-realization. Because for that pot's distinguishing qualities, there is realization, i.e., the favorable conditions for ascertainment, and there is no cause for confusion, therefore that will become realization in conventional terms, and not the opposite. The favorable conditions for ascertainment are clear mind, great familiarity, that thing being timely, and striving for that thing, etc. The opposing conditions are similar things, distance, weak mind, etc. Third, the refutation of the debate that is spoken after examining negation and reversion is: If the verbal cognition's negation or establishment on a phenomenon has an object of negation, then the reversion of a cow from a horse, and the reversion of a non-horse on a cow, if those are different, then they will become non-different from the general and specific that we assert, and if they are not different, then for those verbal consciousnesses that take the subject and the phenomenon alone as objects, there should not be different establishments. If so, as an answer to the doubt of the Vaibhashikas, it is said that there are three: Although negation and reversion have no different meaning, two words can be established. Because the meaning is not different, the fault of generality is not the same. If one looks at the meaning, then the previous accusation will also occur. The first has three: Two words are established only by the intention to express, and there is no fault in this.
