Or to establish without language. According to the first case, letters, as the subject, if you are to establish that they are not made by a person, what will the result be, will it change or not? Because it is no different from worldly letters. Because the mind that recognizes one as the same is the reason for one, and because the same recognition applies to them, the sign is acknowledged. The second case has two: language other than letters is not reasonable, the sequence of letters is not language. The first case has two: refuting with the sign of apparent non-observation, refuting with the reasoning of discrimination. The first is: if establishing without language, language, as the subject, is not different from letters in meaning, because it is not observed to be different from letters in meaning. If accepted, it will become man-made. The second case has three: refuting by examining the existence or non-existence of parts, refuting by examining permanence and impermanence, refuting by examining pervasion and non-pervasion. The first case has two: refuting the existence of parts, refuting the non-existence of parts. The first case has two: refuting that each one has no meaning, refuting that each one has meaning. The first is: if there is language other than letters, is that language a single entity with many limbs or without parts? If it is the nature of many limbs, that is, parts, can each limb express the object expressed by the entire language or not? If those different parts, each one, does not have the ability to express the meaning of the entire language, then, the parts of the language, as the subject, you assume that it is fabricated by thinking that when you are not assembled, you are not capable of expressing the object expressed, but when you are assembled, you are capable of expressing the object expressed, because each of you does not have the ability to express the object expressed, but when assembled, you can express it. Just like a Brahmin boy who is not a lion is fabricated as a lion. If accepted, it will become man-made. The second is: if each part of the language also has the meaning expressed by the entire language, then, language, as the subject, you assume that understanding the meaning requires many parts, that assumption is wrong, because one of your limbs, that is, parts, can also understand all the meanings of the language by understanding. If it is said that all parts of the language are heard simultaneously, so understanding one part does not understand all the meanings, then, language, as the subject, understanding the meaning from you, is your parts in sequence

It is asserted that the time of hearing should not depend on many prior and subsequent differences, because when one part of you is heard, all parts of you are heard simultaneously. Secondly, if it is thought that speech is partless and unique, then, speech, as the subject of the proposition, it is impossible for your parts to be gradually understood, i.e., heard, because you have no distinct parts. Secondly, is speech other than letters impermanent or permanent? If it is impermanent, then, the speech of declaration, as the subject of the proposition, should be produced by effort, because whatever is impermanent has no other cause than effort. If you accept this, then, the speech of declaration, as the subject of the proposition, why is it not made by a person, but is made by a person? Because it is produced by effort. If it is indeed permanent, then, the speech of declaration, as the subject of the proposition, if it is permanent, it should be observed, i.e., heard, because whatever permanent dharma is audible has no obscuration of obstacles to hearing. If it is said that some of the necessary conditions for hearing speech are not complete, so it is not heard, so it is always not heard, then, sound, as the subject of the proposition, your production of hearing depends on other conditions, which is indeed clever, and we also admit it, but the permanent dharmas that are still certain as before are contradictory, because they change with conditions. The third part is divided into two: negating non-pervasiveness, negating pervasiveness. The first case is, does the partless speech of declaration pervade all places, or does it not pervade? If they are not pervasive, then, the speech of declaration, as the subject of the proposition, cannot be observed in all places other than one place, because it exists only in one place. The second part is divided into two: establishing absurd conclusions, negating disclaimers. The first case is, if speech pervades all places, then, all sounds, as the subject of the proposition, should be observed simultaneously by all persons who can hear sounds, because you are audible, pervading all places. The second part is divided into two: negating differences caused by combination, negating differences caused by skillful production. The first case is, if it is said that sound, as an audible object, is only combined by conditions, and the senses can only be observed by combination, so all sounds cannot be observed simultaneously, then, sound, as the subject of the proposition, by what conditions is the combination changed? It does not change, because it is unchanging. Furthermore, sound, as an audible object, the senses are skillfully combined.
