Explanation of the Intermediate Chapter. Explanation of the Intermediate Chapter. Briefly explaining the classification of reasons. The second part has two aspects: briefly explaining the classification of reasons, and explaining it in detail in sequence. The first is: In summary, "Inference is twofold for oneself, meaning is seen from a three-aspect reason." As it is said, what is the nature of the three-aspect reason that is the basis of inference? How is the number determined for it? Where are the pitfalls? If one wants to know that the property of the subject to be proven is established in the subject, and that the probandum, which is attributed to that subject, pervades the sign with concomitance, and that the negation implied by it is complete, then that reason is the basis of inference, because it is a reason that possesses the three aspects. The reason that possesses the three aspects is definitely limited to the three types of reasons: effect, nature, and non-observation. Because the reason that establishes the property of the subject and has a definite relationship of non-arising without it with the property to be proven is definitely limited to only these three. From the word "property," the three properties that name the subject and the property with the name of "property" are derived, and from the property, there arise two things: the elimination of the debate that the sign should not follow the similar instances. In the Explanation of Valid Cognition, the first appears in its own commentary, and the latter appears in the chapter on others' benefit. In the Determination of Validity, the opposite occurs, and it is important to know that both are indispensable for determining the meaning of "property." A pseudo-reason is different from the determination of "non-arising without it," because for an unestablished sign, since the property is not established, there is no basis for considering "non-arising without it," and for contradictory and uncertain signs, the uncertainty of "non-arising without it" itself leads to defects. Explaining it in detail in sequence. Marginal Analysis. The second part includes marginal analysis and one's own view. The first part is that some people divide the correct detailed explanation, the seemingly correct detailed explanation, and the related detailed explanation into three categories, and then apply the four verses such as "Because the causes are not assembled, the result is..." to the seemingly correct detailed explanation, which is unreasonable because it is inconsistent with the order of the summary statement. If it is thought that it was mentioned before the related detailed explanation because the text is short, then even so, the correct detailed explanation

The previously mentioned reasoning is correct because this treatise is shorter. Some connect the subsequent content of the numerical determination upwards, while others connect the detailed explanation of the relation downwards, thinking that there is no detailed explanation of fallacious reasons, which is also unreasonable, because no evidence can be found to prove that the first three verses have detailed explanations, while the fourth verse does not. If the summary and detailed explanation are inconsistent, then this treatise cannot become the work of a wise person. Furthermore, it contradicts the statement in the Pramāṇavārttika that only the latter two verses are connected to the proof of relation. Some connect the first verse upwards to the subsequent content of the numerical determination, and connect the latter three verses downwards to the detailed explanation of the relation, which may be because they mistakenly believe that in the Parārthānumāna chapter of the Pramāṇavārttika, only the first verse is the subsequent content of the numerical determination. If this is the case, then according to the Pramāṇavārttika, only the latter two verses are connected to the proof of relation, so the second verse must also be connected upwards. Explaining one's own view: Secondly, except for the Brahmin's commentary which connects all four verses to the detailed explanation of fallacious reasons, it is not clear in other self-commentaries and other literature, but if we follow the Pramāṇavārttika, it seems like this: In the Parārthānumāna chapter, the first verse is from the numerical determination. In the Svārthānumāna chapter, the latter two verses are spoken at the beginning of the proof of relation. Although the second verse is not obvious in the Pramāṇavārttika, it is clear from the content of this treatise such as "dependent on a collection." The detailed explanation of fallacious reasons must also be determined as its thaṃsnyadaṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音, meaning of the word in Chinese), so there are four aspects to the detailed explanation: detailed explanation of the three correct aspects, detailed explanation of the numerical determination of the three aspects, detailed explanation of what does not occur without it, and detailed explanation of fallacious reasons. Detailed explanation of the three correct aspects: The first aspect has three: the effect is the indicator of the cause, the nature is the indicator of the essence, and proving negation from non-observation. First, if it is said that all fireless phenomena, such as bright burning, etc., become indicators of smoke, then the nature of firelessness, that is, any effect that becomes a general phenomenon that does not occur without it, such as smoke, etc., is the subject. On some basis, in order to prove that there is fire, it can be used as a reason.
