This is because the mind stream transforms into the nature of realizing selflessness. The second case is: if faults are exhausted once but recur, like a mind that previously had faults becoming faultless later, if that's the thought. When all the near harms of samsara are separated by familiarizing with the path, there is no harm, and impermanence etc. are objects with their own characteristics, therefore they are the nature of the true meaning path. For the case where the essence of the mind itself has become the antidote to faults, the Dharma, it will not be averted by perverted, i.e., harmful, untrue, and non-self-natured faults, because it is impossible to see faults on the path and virtues in afflictions, so one will not strive to abandon it, and even if one strives, the mind will hold to the side of the path's realization of selflessness, i.e., because one only strives for that. The third case is: if the increase and decrease of the realization of selflessness causes the increase and decrease of the cause of faults such as attachment, then the cause of faults will become self-grasping, and if so, it contradicts the statement that ignorance is the cause of faults. It is not contradictory, because all kinds of faults of samsara are born from the view of the collection of aggregates, and that view of the aggregates is ignorance. Therefore, there is a reason to say that the cause of all faults is ignorance, because under the power of ignorance, one will be attached to the self, and from that, one will be attached to what belongs to the self. From those two attachments, all faults such as hatred arise. Other sutras say that the view of the collection of aggregates is the main factor of the cause, because when the view of the aggregates is abandoned, all faults can be abandoned. Third, the assertion that the sound of reason establishes the true meaning is also an appearance, in which there are two aspects: refuting the establishment by the sign of being uncreated by a person; refuting the establishment by the sign of being unfailing in one aspect. The first has two aspects: stating the assertion; explaining the refutation. The first is that the Vedas, the Dharma, are of true meaning, because whatever expresses meaning is uncreated by a person. Pervasion: because the cause of words being of false meaning is faults such as attachment, and it depends on a person. Therefore, the Vedas do not deceive the meaning expressed, which is said to some logicians. The second has three aspects: refuting the pervasion of the root reason; the root

Refute after analysis. Refuting the thesis of the root reason. The first is divided into two: refuting with the same initial reasoning, and refuting with contradictory commitments. The first is: the Vedas are the subject, why are they not of false meaning? Because they express meaning and are not made by humans. The pervasion is: the reason why words are true is because of qualities such as wisdom and compassion, and these depend on humans, which is what other Buddhists say. The second is divided into two: establishing the consequence, and refuting the avoidance of fault. The first is: the words of the Vedas are the subject, even if your nature is not made by humans, it is possible to show false meaning, because the cause of understanding meaning from you—convention—depends on humans. The second is divided into two: stating the avoidance of fault, and refuting it. The first is: the reason is not established, because the connection between the sound and meaning of the Vedas is not conventionally established by humans, but is established by nature. The second is divided into two: refuting with an overly extreme consequence, and refuting after analysis. The first is: the sound of the Vedas is the subject, without knowing to which meaning it is conventionally applied, the expressed meaning will be understood from you, because without relying on convention, but by the power of the natural connection between sound and meaning, meaning is understood from you. If it is said that the convention made by humans only makes the natural connection clear, therefore meaning is understood from there. The sound of the Vedas is the subject, the natural connection other than the conventional connection that you have analyzed has no ability to understand meaning, because convention can understand meaning, and without convention, even if there is a natural connection, it cannot understand meaning. The second is divided into three: refuting after analyzing the expressed meaning, refuting after analyzing the connection, and refuting after analyzing the expresser. The first is: if the Vedas are naturally connected with meaning, then are they naturally connected with one meaning or multiple meanings? If it is the first case, the words of the Vedas are the subject, you will not understand other meanings from you, because you are determined to express only one meaning. If it is the second case, for example: one who desires heaven offers fire sacrifices. The sound of such Vedas is the subject.
