Where is the definition made by saying "both are the same", and applying both negations to the determination, this contradicts applying only to the reason of non-apprehension of the invisible. The second point is that some things are not related to the meaning to be expressed in the context of the treatise, and things exist beyond the senses, but cannot be observed like perception, and those parts that do not have the reason of proof are the subject of the law. Because it cannot be seen by the measure of the person who has become a part of the meaning, how can it be determined that it does not exist? It cannot be established, because even if you exist, it does not pervade the measure seen by that person. Therefore, for the measure in the continuum of the person who has taken the meat-eater as a part of the meaning, it is the subject of the law. It will not become a measure that is universally applicable to the existence or non-existence of meat-eaters, because it is not the fruit of the determination that determines the existence or non-existence of meat-eaters. In the self-commentary it says: Because the measure is the one with the fruit of determination. Lha said: Therefore, even if only the different natures distinguished by aspects such as impermanence are grasped, it is not a determination, because it is the very essence of deciding confusion. And, because of uncertainty, they are like not grasping what is seen, therefore, that is the measure for them. It is not so in other aspects, because the measure is the one with the fruit of entering. Shanti said: The measure of perception, when grasping all aspects, is the measure for those who can determine the aspects by the object of entering. Kashmira Pandita said: For things that are not clung to, not deceiving alone is not a measure, because it is too extreme. Like this, perception has no difference, even if there is any fault, how can it fully grasp the aspects, and only generate distinctions in the mind, that is perception, and for those who do not generate distinctions, even if they are grasped, it is like not grasping. There, determination is not generated, therefore, it is not permissible to pursue the meaning of all aspects, therefore, it can be said that it is not a measure. It is not so in other aspects. Some ancient people said that the meaning of these words is: perception is certain, and it is denied that even if determination is not generated, it is not a measure. This statement is unreasonable, because it will become without measure in the Buddha-land.

Therefore, there is no cause for generating certainty there. If it is not established, then the wisdom of the Buddha should be manifest, so it is not pervasive. Therefore, the meaning of these things is that if they are all conventional valid cognitions, then they are pervasive because they induce certainty by either their own power or the power of others. This has already been explained in detail in the general meaning. The second has two parts: if there is a difference, then the certainty of non-existence is established. Explaining the aspects of establishing the certainty of non-existence. The first is: if one wonders whether it is impossible for a sign of non-apprehension to convey the certainty of non-existence, then the excellence of the sign, that is, the non-apprehension of something that has the characteristic of being able to appear, some of which convey the certainty of non-existence, becomes a valid cognition, that is, a correct sign, because the non-apprehension of something that can appear is pervasive with the certainty of non-existence. If so, is it contradictory to say that non-apprehension does not establish non-existence? The answer is that it is not contradictory, because even if it exists, its own nature, that is, its own essence, is not known by seeing it, and it is also not known from the sign that is the knower, in the sense that it is not apprehended, so the certainty of non-existence is not established, because the valid cognition does not pervade the apprehension of that which exists. This reasoning is stated because it is an expression. The second has two parts: the certainty of non-existence is established by negating the five relations. The certainty of non-existence is established by observing the five contradictions. The first has two parts: it is established by negating the cause and the pervasive factor. It is established by negating the nature of what can appear. The first is: if the reversal of the relationship of arising from that is established for the sign-property of non-apprehension of what does not appear, then how is the relationship established for the reason of non-apprehension of what can appear? The answer is that for the reason of non-apprehension of the cause and the pervasive factor, the reversal is actually established from among the two, the following and the reversing, of the relationship of arising from that and the relationship of being one and the same. All other reasons for non-apprehension of what can appear are ultimately said to establish the object to be negated as the certainty of non-existence through the door of non-apprehension by the valid cognition, so ultimately the relationship of being one and the same is actually established. These statements are shown in order. If one does not know the cause of smoke, fire, that is, the non-apprehension, the subject, then in some place, it is established that the effect, smoke, is non-existent, because the three modes of establishing it in that way are complete. Also, for the non-apprehension of the nature of a tree, the subject, in some place, if the nature of the meaning of just a tree is made into a sign with the absence of an animal, then it is a correct sign, because the three modes of establishing it in that way are complete. Also, if
