Since there is no mutual following among things that exist in the ultimate sense. Therefore, it should be known that this verse prohibits both the common basis of things and generality, and the fact that having the ability to function does not universally mean having the ability to function in the ultimate sense. Third, if it is said that besides the seed that produces the sprout, water, fertilizer, etc., can also produce the sprout, then all barley seeds, etc., would become the producers of rice sprouts, etc., because there is no difference between different things. If it is said that if it is produced by one nature, it would be too extreme, therefore, although barley seeds and rice seeds are the same in essence, some rice seeds, etc., are the cause of rice sprouts, while other barley seeds are not the cause of rice sprouts, because such is the nature or dharma of things. Second, there are five points to refute the sameness of nature of all things: stating the extreme and refuting the exemption from fault, eliminating the similarity to the eliminating generality, eliminating the non-producer of self-characteristics, multiple productions have no harm, and one production has harm. First, if all things have no difference in nature and are one, then the various things that appear successively are dharmas, and should become simultaneous arising and ceasing, because they are of the same substance. If it is said that there is not completely no difference, but from the main aspect of the generality, there is a temporary difference, so it will not arise and cease simultaneously, because the temporary is impermanent, but the nature is permanent. Then, the essence of the main thing is a dharma, and should not become the same as the nature of the difference, because when one difference is destroyed, you do not destroy but exist, that is, because you exist. If you admit it, then the generality and the difference will become different in meaning, and if so, the generality and the difference are dharmas, and it should not become that the sound and consciousness of "this is the generality of the difference" or "this is the difference of the generality" are used consistently in meaning, because they are different substances that do not depend on each other. Second, if it is said that the fault of examining whether the generality is destroyed or not when the manifestation is destroyed is also the same for the eliminating generality, that is, the eliminating generality is also like one manifestation being destroyed, if it is destroyed, then the remaining manifestations will become without generality, and if it is not destroyed, then the generality and the difference will become different substances.

In general, there are two types of negation: one that considers the exclusion of what is different from it as existing in all that appears and negates it, and the other that gives the name of negation to that which negates the image of conceptualization. If we consider the first, then the negation of the opposite, as the subject, when one appearance disappears, it is not reasonable to investigate whether you are an object that exists in meaning or does not exist, because you are without inherent existence. If we consider the second, then the common consciousness that apprehends many as one is also the subject. When one appearance disappears, it is also not possible to refute by saying whether you are an object that exists in meaning or does not exist, because for you, the appearance of external objects is a false illusion, and it is the entity that knows that the appearance and substance of external objects are not one and the same. This is: Since consciousness is not different from it, how can it follow other meanings? The meaning of what is said is the same. Here, Tibetans consider the self-character of things as negation, the non-affirming negation of the opposite as negation, and the image of conceptualization, the actual object of sound, as negation. Among these three, if we consider the first, we supplement by saying that appearance and arising and ceasing occur simultaneously. If we consider the second, we supplement the first two lines. If we consider the third, we supplement the last two lines, that is, the common consciousness as the subject. The commonality that you have fabricated, when one appearance disappears, cannot be refuted by examining whether it exists in meaning or not, because it is fabricated, and the commonality that you have fabricated is not true. Such an explanation is due to taking the words of the elders as the standard and not understanding the intention of the text, because first, supplementation is also unnecessary, and the other exclusion of the opposite is pervaded by non-affirming negation, which has already been prohibited in the common meaning, and the third, applying it to the commonality fabricated by the common consciousness, is no different from "the opposite is without inherent existence." The third example is water and fertilizer, etc., as the subject. How do you produce sprouts, and how do you not produce sprouts? Because the producer of the sprout is different from the nature of the seed. If you answer that it is not pervasive, because it has already been said that the differences in nature, water and fertilizer, etc., are themselves the producers of sprouts. If those differences themselves
