If it is thought so, for some cases where blue is directly seen without error, whatever is the knowledge that ascertains blue, as the subject, it should not be an eliminative apprehension, because there is no object to be eliminated as an imputation. It cannot be thought so, because that is a conceptual thought with a general meaning. If you think that is an eliminative apprehension, then, the knowledge that ascertains blue, as the subject, is an object of eliminative activity, because before its function ceases, a person with their own continuum is able to be a definitive cognition that can only ascertain in their own way of ascertainment, without imputing other aspects. The reason is established, because this knowledge that ascertains blue, as the subject, is known to enter an object that is devoid of imputing other aspects beyond its own way of ascertainment, because on one object, you and the mind of imputation are both of the nature of harmer and harmed. Third, the ascertainment of the impermanent object of sound, and sound as well, as the subject, you are those with different objects, not synonyms, because to eliminate as many imputations as there are on the sound, such as unmade, permanent, etc., then you also only enter as many as the number of objects to be eliminated, therefore. Fourth, in order to eliminate each imputation, other than entering, for example, the sound that says a pot is made for a single indivisible object like a pot, or like the wisdom that ascertains this, entering in a pervasive way, that is, in a way of establishing, then the sound cognition that says a pot is made, as the subject, other dharmas of the pot that you have not made into an object, other sound cognitions do not make into an object, because you have made all the dharmas of the pot into an object. If it is thought so, then the sound cognition that says the pot is impermanent, as the subject, would become synonymous with the previous one, because it is a different object with an object that is not different from the previous one. Fifth, there are three points: stating the assertion, explaining the refutation, and refuting the fault. First, according to some Vaibhashikas, the distinctions of a pot, such as made, impermanent, etc., are mutually diverse substances internally, and these distinctions are also different substances from the object to be distinguished, the pot, therefore the discriminating wisdom only apprehends each of the distinctions and the distinguished, and does not apprehend others, or each distinction.

If it is said that because one clings to the distinguished characteristic that has been distinguished, and does not cling to other distinguished characteristics, therefore it is understood through the cognition of sound, and it will not become multiple categories. The second case is that because having distinguishing characteristics requires the ability to help various characteristics, it is a component of helping various characteristics. Is the nature of the vase with distinguishing characteristics inseparable or separate from those abilities? If it is like the first case, then the definite knowledge of the vase is the subject, and all the abilities that the vase has must be determined, because the nature of the vase, which is one with all the abilities and matter, is universally, that is, in a way of establishment, clung to and determined. If admitted, then therefore, none of the distinguishable differences of the vase will be determined, because all must be determined. If it is said that when the distinguishing characteristic is determined, although those abilities that are one with it are determined, those characteristics that are different from it will not be determined. The vase with distinguishing characteristics is the subject, if you determine in a way of establishment, then you must also determine that you are also helping those characteristics. The ability of the distinguishing characteristic to help the characteristic is related to your nature, because it exists in one entity. If admitted, then the definite knowledge of the vase with distinguishing characteristics is the subject, if one knows, that is, the distinguishing characteristic is the helper of the characteristics, then there are two, that is, the characteristics must also be determined as the object of help of the distinguishing characteristic. If those are not its objects of help, then because it is not certain that those are helpers, just as not knowing the servant does not know his master. If it is said that because the abilities to help various characteristics are different from the distinguishing characteristic, the fault just mentioned will not occur. Those abilities are the subject, what is the distinguishing characteristic of those? Because those are unrelated. Because any substance other than that, the distinguishing characteristic will not help you either. If it is said that it is not established, that is, it helps those in that way, then the distinguishing characteristic is the subject, it must become infinite abilities, because it must also help the ability to help the characteristic. Therefore, it must be considered that that ability is one with the distinguishing characteristic, and if so, if by determining "the vase is made," that distinguishing characteristic is clung to as helping one characteristic, then that knowledge is the subject, helping other characteristics that it wants to not see.
