Based on the explanation that "without, it is definitely not produced" is certainly not established, the explanation of fallacious reasoning is extensively discussed. These are only rough, but in detail, it seems that the beginning and end of this treatise are only the end of the former leading to the beginning of the latter. The author says, "The method of relationship and conformity." etc., and establishes the meaning of what is said in his own treatise. In the extensive explanation of "without, it does not arise," it is said that merely not seeing it on the dissimilar side does not establish exclusion, therefore it is excessive, that is, "not seeing it on the dissimilar side." etc., two verses. To show that this is exactly the intention of the teacher, "by reason" etc., one verse. If it is not so, in the case where the relationship is uncertain, if exclusion is established merely by not seeing it, then for one's own school, there are six contradictions to the scriptures; for the common, there are contradictions to reason; for the other school, it will show the fault of contradicting the promise, these four cases are in order: "having delusion" etc.; "objects etc." etc.; "I and Saṃ (Sanskrit, saṃ, Chinese meaning: union)" etc. If the relationship is established, then the exclusion of the two established reasons is established. If the relationship is not established, then neither the concomitance nor the exclusion of the two established reasons exists. Therefore, the relationship between the two established reasons needs to be proven on the example, and by this, the pervasion of the negative reason is also established, these are in order: "therefore only" etc.; "if it is not so" etc.; "therefore dharma is not similar" etc.; "therefore cause and" etc. Such a relationship of "without, it does not arise" also needs to be determined by the two ways of determining cause and effect and determining nature, that is, "of cause and effect" etc., three verses. If you want to know how these two ways determine "without, it does not arise," then for the reason of the effect, the determination of cause and effect is: "The effect of fire is smoke." etc. For the nature reason, the determination of the one-identity relationship, that is, for the one-identity relationship of the thing to be determined is: "For nature also" etc. From where is the classification of the nature reason determined? That is, "nature difference, special feature." etc. To this, the valid cognition that determines it is: "Because there is no cause, therefore it is destruction." etc. Therefore, by means of the two relationships, it is determined as two established reasons, that is, "therefore things"

“...of the realm.” etc., this is a verse. Because the two connections of the establishing reason are established, the pervasion of the refuting reason is also established, which was later spoken by the logician from the wise one of the Entering Path. This is the end of it. May it be a feast of joy in the hearts of those who dwell in impartiality. Secondly, the meaning of the text has four points: merely because of not seeing, it is shown that the rejection is mistaken. To be free from error, a definite connection is necessary. That certainty also depends on two ascertainers. The nature of the two ascertainers is explained in detail. The first point is: if there is no confusion about the difference of the common cause of the result, because it is not seen in the dissimilar category, then, merely because it is not seen in the dissimilar category, as the subject, it is not certain that there is no error of doubt about being present in the dissimilar category, because there is a possibility of the error of doubt about being present in the dissimilar category. For example, from the cause of the same color fruit and mustard seeds contained in a bag, it is established that the remaining mustard seeds are colored. If only not seeing is established, but it is with remainder, then what is the meaning of having remainder? If the logician asks this. The logician believes that establishing the result from the cause is with the former, establishing the cause from the result is with the remainder, and merely from the common dharma, that is, merely from living beings, establishing having a throat, like this, generally seeing, these three are with remainder, but not the having remainder spoken of here. Here it is said that the speaker, the opponent, as the subject, is not omniscient, because he can speak, like this, any reason, merely because it is not seen in the dissimilar category, strongly shows the rejection, that is, that reason, as the basis for establishment, as the subject, is called having remainder, because the dharma has been established, and it is the cause of doubt about being present in the dissimilar category. The second has three points: the teacher believes that the reason needs a definite connection. It is too much if rejection is established without connection. It is shown that pervasion is established through the power of connection. The first point is: the teacher Dignāga, as the subject, believes that to become a correct reason, a definite connection of nature is necessary, because if there is no connection, because it is not an understandable reason, therefore the dharma is not established, and the opposite meaning, that is, contradiction, and the same category as this, contradiction has remainder, and confusion.
