Therefore, if it is established in that way, it can establish the three characteristics. It is not that a special dharma that is not a refutation of itself, such as a bright light, etc., is a knower, because there is confusion in it. The second is that actions, etc., which are the nature of what is to be established, are also the subject of the dharma. On sound, only its own nature and the dharma related to its own nature, such as impermanence, etc., are the correct reasons for establishing it, because establishing it in this way can fulfill the three characteristics. The third has two aspects: it can prevent the certainty of existence, and it can establish the certainty of non-existence of appearance. The first is that the scriptures and other valid cognitions do not allow things like a pot of meat, which is the subject of the dharma, to exist on some bases, because the term "certainty of existence" is not allowed for that thing, which is the fruit of knowing, because it fulfills the three characteristics of establishing that there is no certainty of existence on some bases. The reason why the word "valid cognitions" is used in the plural is to include all three valid cognitions of the time when the scriptures are not related. The second has three aspects: nature, distinction, and refutation of dispute. The first is whether all unperceived signs are only the result of preventing existence. Depending on the difference of the reason, the unperceived appearance of a pot is the subject of the dharma. On some bases, it is the result of the knowledge and expression that agree with the meaning of determining that some of the objects to be negated of appearance do not exist, because it fulfills the three characteristics of establishing that there is no certainty of the non-existence of an appearance pot on some bases. The second is that the unperceived reason with the meaning and term of non-existence is the subject of the dharma. There are four aspects: the established nature of contradiction, the established result of contradiction, the unestablished nature of being like a cause, and the unestablished nature of being like a nature. Among them, the first is like preventing cold touch with fire, the second is like preventing cold touch with smoke, the third is like preventing smoke without fire, and the fourth is like preventing an appearance pot with an unperceived appearance pot. By showing the contradictory cause and the unperceived nature as the knower, the order is like preventing the touch of fine hair with fire, which is the perception of the contradictory pervasive, and preventing meat by blocking wood.

Like that, the pervasive non-apprehension should also be known as the means of understanding. Third, if the fruit of fire can prevent cold, then using the cause of fire as a sign can also equally prevent cold. If you say that if the direct cause of fire is used as a sign, then the property of the subject cannot be determined, and if only the cause is used as a sign, then the cause of fire, which is contrary to cold, is firewood. Whatever combination of firewood is used as a sign, that dharma is one with pervasive error, because the combination of firewood, the cause of fire, prevents cold. Whatever firewood is the cause of fire, if it is not contrary to cold, it is because it does not exist. This shows that if the cause is contradictory, then there is a case of becoming a means of understanding, such as the difference of being able to burn, and the proximity of fire can prevent the erection of cold fruits, such as the nature of being contrary to the cause, and the apprehension of the nature of being contrary to the cause, and the apprehension of the fruit of being contrary to the cause, such as the smoke preventing the erection of cold fruits. Thus, adding the previous six, eight are mentioned here, and in the Determination of Validity, in addition to that, since there is no smoke, such as the direct cause of smoke preventing the non-apprehension of direct fruit, and the apprehension of the nature of being contrary to the fruit, such as the fire preventing the direct cause of cold, ten are mentioned. If the cause of fire alone cannot prevent cold, then the fruit of fire alone cannot prevent cold either. If you say that these two are the same, then the fruit of fire, which is contrary to cold, dharma, when you prevent cold on some basis, you also want to rely on the fire that is the cause of yourself, the place where that fire is close, and the time, etc., such as the bent smoke. You can prevent cold on some basis, and there are differences due to place and time, etc., otherwise preventing cold will become an error, because on some basis it is not cold, that is, in order to establish that there is no cold, it is like using the contradictory fruit ash as a sign. Also, the word "also" is used to summarize the fruit sign, which is Shakya's view. The Brahmins say that not only is the cause of apprehending the contradictory not a sign, but also the contradictory fruit needs to be different, and merely "merely" is not a sign. The determination of the number three is explained in detail. The second has two parts: refuting the idea that the real is something else, and refuting the idea that the similar is real. The first has two parts: inferring self-nature from the possibility of arising from aggregation.
