The arising of subsequent inference is necessary. If there are other similarities, etc., due to the reason of constant confusion, if you do not apply other permanent qualities to sound, then after you, there is no need to arise the subsequent inference that realizes sound as impermanent. However, like seeing the white color of form similar to white, mistaking a fish bladder for the appearance of silver, because there are other similarities, etc., there is confusion about sound being permanent. Therefore, to eliminate that, after you, it is necessary to arise the subsequent inference that realizes sound as impermanent. Thirdly, for that reason, the sign and subsequent inference that establish sound as impermanent are the object of the law. It arises by elimination. Seeing the object of sound with direct perception, seeing all the qualities such as impermanence, that is, existing, so it does not arise to see that. However, due to the cause of confusion, it does not determine sound as impermanent, so to determine that, you arise extremely. This verse is a summary verse. Secondly, not only direct perception, but if also by subsequent inference, holding through the door of establishing the object of sound, then the subsequent inference of knowing sound as impermanent is the object of the law. It should follow that all the laws of sound, such as being made, are held. Because it becomes certain through the door of establishing one impermanence of the law of sound. If you accept, then other valid cognitions will not arise. If you say that it should also follow for you, then the law arises by eliminating subsequent inference. If subsequent inference holds one impermanence, then the fault of holding all laws does not become a fault here, because subsequent inference arises to eliminate superimposition. Thirdly, if it arises by establishment, there is a fault, and if it arises by elimination, there is no fault. Therefore, as previously said, the inference based on the sign should be declared as the object of elimination. If it arises by establishment in another place, then the law, such as sound, is the law. After you have seen it with direct perception, it should follow that it is impossible for you to arise the sign and subsequent inference that establish impermanence. If you have been established by direct perception, then what other impermanent nature of you that has not been established by direct perception is there, because there is none. Some apply this to the subsequent inference of suddenness, but it contradicts the summary verse in the self-commentary. Secondly, if subsequent inference eliminates superimposition

If you want to be a negating appearance, then for some things that are directly seen as blue and have no confusion, whatever knowledge that ascertains blue, as the subject, should not be a negating appearance, because there is no need to eliminate any superimposition. This cannot be thought, because whatever is a conceptualization with a general meaning, you consider it to be a negating appearance. If you ask this, then the knowledge that ascertains blue, as the subject, is an object of negation, because before its own function disappears, a person with their own continuum is able to determine only their own way of ascertaining, without superimposing other aspects, and is a definite consciousness. The reason is established, because this knowledge that ascertains blue, as the subject, is known to engage in a realm that is devoid of superimposing on aspects other than its own way of ascertaining, because in one realm, you and the mind of superimposition are both the nature of what is harmed and what harms. Third, the ascertainment of the object of impermanence made on sound, and sound as well, as the subject, you are those with different objects, but not synonyms, because on sound, whatever superimpositions are made on the parts of unmade, permanent, etc., must be eliminated, so you also only engage in the number of things to be eliminated, therefore, so. Fourth, in order to eliminate each superimposition, other than engaging, for example, in a single indivisible object like a vase, the word that says the vase is made, or like the wisdom that ascertains this, engaging in a way that pervades, that is, in a way that establishes, then the word conceptualization that says the vase is made, as the subject, the other qualities of the vase that you have not made into an object, other words and wisdoms are not made into an object, because you have made all the qualities of the vase into an object. If you think so, then the words and wisdom that say the vase is impermanent, as the subject, will become synonymous with the former, because the object that is not different from the former is a different object. Fifth, there are three: stating the tenet, explaining the refutation, and refuting the fault. First, according to some particularists, the distinctions of a vase, such as being made and impermanent, are various substances internally, and these distinctions are also different substances from the object with distinctions, the material vase, so the wisdom of distinction only grasps one of the distinctions and the object with distinctions, and does not grasp the others, or the distinction
