It is contradictory. Secondly, if non-seeing alone establishes non-existence, then the remaining mangoes that have the same shape as the mango with special taste and potency, are the subject. They possess special taste and potency because they are mangoes. If stated in this way, the mango as the subject, then the reverse pervasion of its establishment is complete. If it is asserted that in the opposite side of its establishment, it is merely because of non-seeing, then the sign of its establishment becomes a valid sign, because it possesses the property of its establishment and the complete reverse pervasion. It is not possible to assert this, because according to the good and bad places, and the differences in what is to be done, etc., the substance mango appears to have different potencies and tastes, etc., so seeing one mango with a special taste and potency, it is not reasonable to be certain that other mangoes have that special taste and potency. Thirdly, whatever is not observed in the opposite side of the sign, is that itself the proof that is absent in the opposite side of the reason, or is it not? In general, not observing that dharma is not a strong proof that that dharma is non-existent. The sign is accepted, because the Vaisheshikas believe that there is a self in the living body, the Lokayatas believe that there is consciousness in the earth, and the Samkhyas, included by the word 'etc.', believe that the effect is not observed in the cause, but it exists. The third has four: If there is a connection, the opposite is established. If there is no connection, there is no going back and forth. The way to show the connection in the example. In that way, the pervasion of the negation sign is established. First, not seeing alone does not establish the opposite, therefore, the essence of the sign to be taken as the sign, is only the existence, and the dharma to be established that has become the essence of the sign related to its own nature, the essence of the sign will change by the opposite itself, just as the impermanence related to its own nature changes by the made, and the made changes. Also, it is to lead the latter, that is, the opposite of the dharma to be established as the cause to be taken as the sign, will change the reason of the fruit, because the fruit's following and reversing the cause is without confusion. For example, the opposite of the fire that is the cause of the smoke will change the fruit smoke. Secondly, if the connection between the sign and the dharma is not established like that, then how can the other sign, as the subject, change by the power of the opposite of one dharma? It will not change, because it is not related to the dharma.

Therefore, some people do not have horses, that is to say, they do not have horses, so do they not have livestock either? If not, it is like unrelated livestock not returning. Just as there is no return, a single mark of dharma, a single mark of proximity, because it exists, how can other dharmas be close or exist? It will not exist, because there is no connection with the dharma. Some people have livestock, that is to say, they have livestock, so do they also have horses? If not, it is like it will not exist. The third part has three points: even if there is no dissimilar dharma example, it can be understood through reason. For those who do not understand reason in the example, it is shown. For those who understand reason, there are two ways to state the argument. The first point is: Like this, due to the nature of the relationship, concomitance and difference are established, therefore, in order to make the thesis of the argument understood, the nature of the relationship cannot be other than identity and origination. These two are also shown through examples, similar examples show concomitance, and dissimilar examples show difference. So, in order to show difference, is it necessary for dissimilar examples to be established in things? The explanation is that, for the sake of establishing difference, for these two argumentative marks, dharma, the dharma of establishing difference, dissimilar examples, it is not considered necessary to be established on the basis of things. Even if there are no dissimilar examples established in things, difference can be understood by stating the reason that the mark does not exist on the dissimilar side. In most previous cases, even if dissimilar examples do not exist in things, it can be understood by stating that those dharmas do not exist, and this explanation enhances the power of the word "also." Between this and the following verse, there is no other connection in the self-explanation other than the word "like this," so the meaning of "that non-existence" stated above, which needs to be shown by the following text, is not understood. The second point is: So, what is reason? For example, impermanence on a vase is artificial, and for example, the reason shown on the things where all the many smokes are the cause of fire, dharma, is shown to those who do not understand the identity relationship of artificial impermanence and the origination relationship of fire and smoke. Because those two opponents understand these two relationships through examples, it is reason. That is also when dissimilar examples are not established in things, on similar examples.
