I, regarding the experience of ripening, nominally establishing it as the agent and me experiencing the ripening, is a necessary component in many cases. The third part has two aspects: refuting the non-existence of those free from desire, and refuting the absence of rebirth in the first path. The first part has three aspects: explaining the two causes for the existence of those free from desire, refuting disputes about the cause, and refuting disputes about the existence. The first is: if those with self-grasping exist in samsara due to the power of craving, how do those free from desire exist in samsara? Those free from desire, you have a reason to exist in samsara for a while, because you have two possibilities: Mahayana noble ones exist in samsara due to great love and compassion, or Hinayana arhats exist in samsara due to the force of past karma, because past karma has already thrown this life's aggregates, so it is temporarily considered impossible to reverse. As it is said in the Chapter of Instructive Sayings: "One should not rejoice in death, nor should one rejoice in life, like a bull of power, I abide in due time." The second part has two aspects: refuting disputes about karma, and refuting disputes about compassion. The first is: if those free from desire exist in samsara due to karma, will their karma also connect the continuum in another existence? The karma in the continuum of those free from desire who have completely transcended the craving for existence is not capable of throwing another rebirth, because both craving, which is the opposing factor that acts together, is exhausted. The second is: those free from desire should be seen as having sentient beings, because they have compassion. If it is said: the compassion that arises in the continuum of directly knowing the impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness of the truth of suffering is not a view of self connected with sentient beings, because there is no opposing factor such as hatred, and it follows the previous habituation of the action of compassion, it is a dharma of the entity of mind. Also, those free from desire should become attached, because they have compassion. If it is said: the compassion of those free from desire is not attachment, because there is no distorted imputation on the object, but rather the stream of suffering of other beings.

Because you will be born only from wisdom. Generally speaking, for the aggregates of phenomena that are not of the nature of permanence, happiness, self, and selfhood, they are different from the nature of that realm, because attachment arises from clinging to permanence and so on. Furthermore, a non-attached being, if harm is done to the object of affection, anger will arise, because there is affection. A non-attached being, anger does not arise from the proximate cause, that is, harm done to the object of affection, because ignorance is the root of faults such as hatred, and that is also clinging to sentient beings, because that is absent. Therefore, the affection of a non-attached being is considered to be without the fault of hatred, because it does not arise from the cause of ignorance. The third has two parts: refuting the dispute about the abode by karma, and refuting the dispute about the abode by affection. The first is: if a non-attached being has a body propelled by karma, then it will become not liberated from samsara. That non-attached being abiding by karma is not one who is not liberated from samsara, because the power of the previous karma that manifests and activates the aggregates of this life is exhausted, the body recedes, and there is no craving, so it does not connect to another existence. Whatever non-attached being abides in samsara, even if the power of activating karma is not exhausted, is not bound by samsara, because there is no fault of samsara. The second is: Furthermore, why does a non-attached being not abide for a long time for the sake of sentient beings out of compassion? Like Hearers and Solitary Realizers, there is no great effort to abide for a long time for the sake of sentient beings, because their compassion is inferior. Those Great Vehicle noble beings, for the sake of other sentient beings, abide at all times, because they possess great compassion, which is the cause of continuously abiding for the sake of others. Second, refuting that there is no rebirth even on the first noble path: if the view of the perishable aggregate is the cause of existence, then on the first noble path, the path of seeing, it will become without rebirth, because it is separated from the view of the perishable aggregate. The stream-enterer, it is not that because there is no view of the perishable aggregate, he will not be reborn in another existence, because although the imputed view of the perishable aggregate is abandoned, the co-emergent one is not abandoned. If that is abandoned, the stream-enterer
