Even if explained in this way, it can only be established through the sign that becomes clear through habit. That is the meaning. The second case is: If the Samkhya school says that because all things like grass possess the nature of consciousness, the consciousness that is just born is considered to be a continuation of the previous consciousness. Then, the proposition that there are hundreds of elephants at the tip of grass and the elements, and that consciousness exists even if it has not been seen before, is the subject of debate. You say this, Samkhya, who other than a beast would try to say such a shameful thing? No one can say it, because you are harmed by the sign of being visible but not seen. How so? The cause, grass and the elements, etc., are the subject of debate. How can hundreds of elephants and consciousness exist for you? They should not exist. Even if you analyze it a hundred times, if any aspect of the hundreds of elephants and consciousness exists, then it should become visible, but that aspect has not appeared before. Third, if there is no samsara, absurd inferences will arise, which are divided into two cases: it is not necessarily accompanied by attachment, etc., and attachment, etc., do not necessarily arise occasionally. The first case is divided into two: presenting the absurd inference, and eliminating the uncertain pervasion. The first case is: For ordinary people, as the subject of debate, it is not necessarily accompanied by attachment, etc., at birth, because you and things of the same kind as attachment, etc., did not exist before, and are not newly produced from arising. The second case is divided into two: eliminating uncertainty from the perspective of cause, and eliminating uncertainty from the perspective of example. The first case is divided into three: if it arises from the nature of the elements, absurd inferences will arise; if it is a difference in the elements, it will be possible to be free from attachment; and refuting other answers to prove that there is no freedom from attachment. The first case is: If all sentient beings are the subject of debate, and are accompanied by attachment, etc., because the direct cause of attachment, etc., does not go beyond the nature of the elements, then all sentient beings are the subject of debate, and the size of attachment should be equal, because the direct cause of attachment, the elements, exists without difference. The second case is: If the sign is not established, because there is a difference in the size of the elements, the size of attachment, etc., will be different. Then, the beings that arise from the elements should only have the difference of beings, most beings, and extremely most beings, and the size of the elements is different.

Because there are differences in size between things that arise. Even if there is no such difference, ordinary beings, the arising in your continuum, because there is a reason for being excellent and diminishing, eventually, just as arising will cease, the arising for you will change from being previously existent to not existing in some of your later differences. Because arising is the basis for this difference of increase and decrease in the arising in your continuum. The third part is divided into two points: negating that arising and separation do not exist from the perspective of cause. Negating that arising and separation do not exist from the perspective of example. The first point is, if it is said that even if arising comes from increase and decrease, arising etc. have different increases and decreases, but ordinary beings, arising will not completely disappear, because the cause of arising etc., the self-nature of the same arising will not reverse. Then, for all sentient beings, the size of desire etc. will also become the same. Because the cause of generating the same self-nature of arising etc., is merely the arising existing without difference. This is pervasive, because from the self-nature of the same cause cow, the knowledge of the object of the cow that arises, there will be no difference in thinking "This is a cow," "This is a very cow," "This is an extremely cow." Or, in the case of thinking that beings arise from earth etc. because of the beauty on this side, for the beings that arise from earth etc., for the order of differences such as beings and extremely beings themselves, in some cases it does not exist. The second point is, just as fire has differences in the order of large and small hot touches, but there is no fire without heat. Here too, even if arising comes from increase and decrease, arising etc. have differences in increase and decrease, but it is impossible for arising to completely disappear, so the pervasion of "changing from existence to non-existence" is uncertain. There is no fault, because our reason has the difference of "having increase and decrease of other meanings," so it does not involve fire and heat. Like this, heat, you are not increasing and decreasing because of the increase and decrease of fire in a way that is different from fire, because you being different from fire has been negated by valid cognition. Therefore, arising etc., it is possible for you to cease in arising, because in a way that is different from arising, you are increasing and decreasing because of the increase and decrease of arising.
