In the Pramāṇavārttika, because there is no chapter distinguishing between meaningful and meaningless, direct perception is explained first. Here, the unique distinction of explaining self-interest first can also be understood, which is the author's intention. A similar explanation to this is Yamāri (a place name). In the Four Noble Truths that will be explained, since one cannot easily understand without understanding inference, inference should be explained first. As Nyima (a person's name) said, "Therefore, in order to enter the Four Noble Truths, inference is classified, and in order to show it, the second chapter's verse of homage is clearly explained." These two statements are like this. However, the recognition of meaningful and meaningless is different, because these two views consider the sixteen impermanent qualities, etc., on the Four Noble Truths to be meaningful, and the sixteen permanent qualities, etc., to be meaningless. Regarding inference, many wrong conceptions of self and other schools are also seen. In order to eliminate these wrong conceptions and classify them in the correct way, a detailed explanation with self-commentary is given. This is the reason for writing a self-commentary for self-interest, not the reason for showing it first. So, what kind of wrong conceptions are there? In the definition of a correct reason, some people think that there are other incomplete forms from one to six. In the case of definite numbers, some people think that there are other cases besides the three cases of inferring the result from the collection of causes and inferring the shape from the taste. In the case of the relationship between the sign and the property, some people think that even if the relationship is uncertain, as long as it is not seen on the dissimilar side, the reversal can be established. Some people think that even if smoke comes from the head of Śakra (བརྒྱ་བྱིན།,梵文:Śakra,梵文罗马拟音:Śakra,English literal meaning: Lord of the Gods) without fire, the reversal of fire and smoke cannot be established, but as long as the subsequent occurrence is established, it can be considered a cause-and-effect relationship. Some people think that even if what is made, impermanent, and entity are different, they can be considered the sign property of the nature sign. Some people think that if the nature is the same, then the sign and the sign-possessor are unreasonable. As a branch of it, some people think that sound enters the object of cognition through direct power. As a branch of it, some people think that sound directly expresses the self-characteristic. Some people think that clear, same entity, and different entity universals are the cause of cognition. In the classification of the nature sign, existence is the reason.

If so, it is considered that the existing thing is the same as the dharma to be proven, and in the case of the unobserved reason, it is considered that the absence is definitely proven only by the unobserved in the treatise, and in the case of the fallacious reason, it is considered that the meaning to be expressed is established from the expressing sound, and that the Vedas are considered to have true meaning by the reason of being uncreated by a person and not deceiving one side. The refutation of these will appear sequentially in the chapters of the text. In the middle, the text of the chapter itself is explained. The classification of reasons is briefly shown. The second part has two parts: briefly showing the classification of reasons, and explaining it in detail in sequence. The first part is: In short, "The two kinds of inference, for oneself, are seeing the meaning from the reason with three aspects." What is the reason with three aspects, which is the basis of inference mentioned here? Is the number definite for this? Where is the mistake? If you want to know the subject that is the proponent's side, then the dharma that is established as the dharma of the subject, and the concomitance that the dharma to be proven, which is established on the category of that proponent's side, pervades the reason, and the complete counter-pervasion derived from it, that is the reason, is the subject, and is the basis of inference, because it is the reason with three aspects. The reason with three aspects is definitely numbered as only these three kinds of reasons: effect, nature, and non-observation, because the reason that is established as the dharma of the subject, and has a definite relationship of non-arising without the dharma to be proven, is definitely numbered as only these three. From the "dharma of the subject," the three dharmas that call the dharma and the subject by the name of the subject, and from the dharma, the avoidance of the debate of the fault of the similar class not following, which is established as the reason, these two arise, of which the first appears in the self-commentary of this in the Pramāṇavārttika, and the latter appears in the chapter for others, while in the Pramāṇaviniścaya it appears in reverse, both of which are for the meaning that it is necessary to know that the determination of the meaning of the dharma of the subject is without dispute. The fallacious reason is different from the certainty of non-arising without, because the unestablished reason, since the dharma of the subject is not established, there is no basis for calculating non-arising without, and the contradictory and uncertain reasons are faulty because of the uncertainty of non-arising without itself. Explaining it in detail in sequence. Final analysis. Two
