That which is not apprehended by inference is established by the power of self-cognizant perception. Do you say, "This place is apprehended," by experiencing with the self-experiencing self-cognizant perception of the sense perception of what is apprehended? Or, the wisdom of a conceptual mind with the thought, "This pot is not apprehended," will arise. Then, it is reasonable to say, "By one apprehended," but what is the need to say, "By experience"? There is a need to say it in this way. Because, whether things are different or non-different is established merely by their own existence. And the wisdom of experiencing things, different from the apprehended pot, thereby realizes that the things of the ground are different from the existence of the pot. Whether wisdom is different or non-different does not depend on other wisdom that apprehends it, but is established by itself. In order to realize this need. Therefore, the distinction between different and non-different minds is established by the mind itself. These minds can establish the meaning of the mind, that is, the distinction between different and non-different things that become the object. Because, there is no other wisdom that can establish things as different. And, like this, the wisdom of realizing the nature of things as different, the self-cognizance that experiences its own nature, is the cause of distinguishing this mind itself from other wisdom, that is, the distinguisher. It is not necessary to distinguish it by other wisdom. If the distinction of wisdom is not established by itself, but needs to be established by other wisdom that apprehends it, then the establisher of the distinction of wisdom (dharma) will become infinite. Because your distinction needs to be established by other wisdom, and the distinction of other wisdom also needs to be established by other wisdom in the same way. If you admit it, then, therefore, no things and wisdom will be established as different. These are incidental. Second, when establishing the reason of non-apprehension of nature, the dharma, because the visible pot is not apprehended. The meaning of this reason is also, different from the object to be refuted, such as the visible pot, that is, the basis of refutation that is devoid of it, is the perception itself of the apprehended ground. Because, experiencing the difference in the nature of the basis of refutation that is devoid of the object to be refuted, is the root

Therefore, other than that direct perception, the elimination of the pot, that is, the preventer, is not other. Third, therefore, this sign of non-apprehension of self-nature is the subject of the proposition. It is realized from the self-cognizant direct perception of one's own experience, because it is the other-cognizant direct perception that holds the object of negation. Therefore, like "because the pot is capable of appearing but does not appear," the sign of non-apprehension of self-nature is the subject of the proposition. For the foolish debater, it is the expression of the absence of the pot on the ground of debate, that is, the understanding of the term 'absence,' because for the wise debater, merely by its own existence, without relying on the sign, it is the direct perception that engages in the term 'absence of the pot.' If non-apprehension of self-nature is established from self-experiencing self-cognizant direct perception by way of being the knowledge that apprehends the object of negation, otherwise it cannot be established. Then, the place purified by the pot is the subject of the proposition. The proof of the absence of the pot will become endless. The very absence of an object like a pot is realized from the non-apprehension of the pot, and that cannot be established by self-cognition. It is necessary to establish the non-existence of the pot by another consciousness, such as the non-apprehension of the consciousness that apprehends the pot. And that also must be established by other non-apprehensions. Second, by that means, non-apprehension also establishes other things, divided into two: the former establishes non-apprehension of the invisible, the latter establishes the apprehension of the contradictory. First, then, when explaining the divisions of the subject of the proposition, why is the example of the sign of non-apprehension of the invisible not shown separately? This is because by negating the valid cognition that makes the cause apprehended, the term 'the effect definitely exists' is negated, so it is included in the non-apprehension of the cause, and that has already been said to be established by the sign of the effect. It is shown that: the person who has become the share of meat-eating is the subject of the proposition. Because you have not apprehended the meat-eater by valid cognition, on that basis, other than definitely existing as a meat-eater, the term 'definitely exists' will be negated, and it cannot be established as definitely not existing, because your non-seeing, that is, non-apprehension, of the meat-eater does not allow the certainty of the absence of the meat-eater on that basis. For example, just as for the near-sighted, the difference of other sentient beings, such as conceptual thoughts without signs, cannot be established as definitely existing for the other party. Why does it not establish the term 'absence of the meat-eater'?
