Sound is impermanent, this is the reason for establishing the impermanence of sound. Because sound is the result of something, this has been proven by valid cognition (प्रमाण ,pramāṇa, valid cognition). The third is: taking "arising from effort" as an example, this itself also establishes the example of the nature sign. However, there is a reason for distinguishing it from the example of the nature sign: when arising from effort is used as an example for both the result sign and the nature sign simultaneously, there may be a doubt that whether all nature signs, like arising from effort, exist in two ways in the similar side. In order to avoid understanding all nature signs as existing in two ways in the similar side, it is necessary to distinguish them. The fourth is: In this "for others" chapter, only two classifications of valid signs, namely the result and nature reasons, are explained, which is for a reason: in order to understand that the meanings of valid reasons that have been explained in the "for oneself" inference are expressed through the "for others" inference. In this "for others" chapter, the definition of valid signs is not explained, because when explaining the definition of valid signs, it has already been explained in the context of the "for oneself" inference, and there is no other necessity. Here, some earlier people thought that all nine classifications of reasons were valid, which is a mistake because they did not understand the occasion for explaining the necessity of the two valid signs. And the later people, although they thought that the two valid signs were both valid, explained that it was for the purpose of easier understanding of the classification, which is a mistake because they did not understand both the direct and indirect meanings of "there is no difference in definition." The fifth is: Then, is it necessary to separately state the example of the nature sign that exists in two ways in the similar side? In the occasion of explaining the classification of things with dharma nature, it is not necessary to separately state the example of the nature sign that exists in two ways in the similar side, because arising from effort has already explained the example of the nature sign relying on one aspect of the similar side by showing the example of the result sign. Therefore, arising from effort can represent both establishing signs that exist in two ways in the similar side, that is, arising from effort makes hearing clear is the result sign, and arising from effort
