Because it is not contrary to the ground, it is for the sake of realizing it. So, what is the need for such an examination? Because it is certain that the valid cognition of the power of reality will engage in examining whether there are internal contradictions in the meaning of the scriptures. There is also another need, namely, to show the visible manifest, the invisible hidden, and the extremely hidden, whatever treatises are established by the reasoning of direct perception and the power of reality, and are not harmed by the words of the scriptures themselves, should be taken as proof of measuring the extremely hidden. Second, the explanation of the refutation of fame is divided into two parts: the first way of explaining is that the opponent is unrivaled, and the second way of explaining is that the distinction of the object is accomplished. The first part is divided into two: explaining the meaning of no harm, and explaining the meaning of no rival. The first point is divided into five: showing that what can be said pervades all, showing that it is the fame that harms, if what can be said is blocked, then it harms, although it has not been heard of, what can be said is established, so it is established that there is no harm. The first is: In short, for the inference that has no uncommon reason, and because of the meaning that contradicts the fame that comes from sound, therefore refutation is not a side either, for example, saying "the one with a rabbit is not the moon, because it exists," and so on. To explain this meaning in sequence, first, to show that the meaning of all that can be said is pervaded by arbitrary words, although what can be said is not the characteristic of fame, here, because it harms, it is the occasion to establish fame as harm, therefore, the reason for applying the name of fame to it, and because what can be said has a reason to be established, it harms what cannot be said, but what cannot be said has no reason to be established, so it does not harm what can be said, etc., are the meanings of explaining the meaning of no harm. Some former scholars said: In the case of "elsewhere this is harm," the scripture is quoted because they want to explain it from then on. As it says in the Pramāṇavārttika: "In the previous explanation, fame also harms the proposition with contradictory meanings," and at the end of "it is established," it summarizes the meaning of the previous establishment, and quotes the scripture "for those who have no uncommon...", which is contradictory.

The meaning is conventional terms related to the wishes of people, such as "moon" and so on, as the subject. You, these words, have no hindrance to the application of any meaning, because all people with the same language habits are happy to accept and believe you. Because you can express anything without any restrictions. The second is that fame is divided into speakable fame and worldly fame. The first, the speakable dharma, as the subject. Although fame is not a self-characteristic, here, the word fame is used to name it, and the scriptures say that this is the fame produced by sound. For example, "moon" and so on, is the self-characteristic of fame, produced from the mundane, because it appears dependent on the mundane. The fruit of fame is called fame, and not only is it used to refute harm, but also the objects of measurement of manifestation and subsequent inferences and scriptures, as the subject. The words measurer manifestation etc. are imposed on it, although it is not manifestation etc., but manifestation etc. is used to refute harm. The previous speakable is the opposite of the vow of unspeakable, so it is reasonable to eliminate the vow of unspeakable. However, manifestation, inference, scriptures, etc. are the objects of the opposite of the meaning of the vow, not the opposite itself, so how does it harm the vow? Indeed. And explaining the latter as an example of the former, neither of these two ways has played the role of the word "also". The third is that worldly people rely on the conventional terms that arise, such as "moon" and so on, as the subject. You, these words, have no hindrance to any meaning that can be used, because it can be used to meaning only through intention. Therefore, the word "moon" that has been conventionally agreed upon before, such as referring to the moon with a rabbit, and the bottle etc. that has not been conventionally agreed upon, as the subject. The conventional terms such as "moon" etc. are essentially capable of expressing various things, because conventional terms can be used only through intention. Therefore, it is only related to the object of the concept, or related to the word that has been conventionally agreed upon before, by making the word expressible, or by the way of conventionally agreeing upon it later, making the word expressible, the expressibility of the conventional word, as the subject.
