Because it contradicts what was done before. The former is incorrect. One's own words are also different. To say that "is" is promised in the gateway to reasoning, is to explain the meaning of showing one's own words as different, which is also unreasonable. In credibility, there are two types, and the meaning of distinguishing the promise from direct perception and inference has already been shown. Because this shows the meaning of distinguishing one's own words from inference. The second is divided into three: explaining the main point of combining two words into one, explaining the main point of showing the exclusion as one, and explaining the main point of separately showing credibility. The first is divided into two: explaining the reason for combining two words into one, and explaining the necessity of combining two words into one. The first is: In general, to say that "one's own words and the treatises are both credible" is combined and stated as a phenomenon. You have a reason, because for the opponent himself and other treatise authors, in the way of correctly determining the meaning to be expressed, for the opponent who wants to state that meaning to others, one's own words and the words of scripture are the same in terms of credibility, that is the reason for you. The second is: In general, to say with the words "this treatise together with one's own words is credible", as a phenomenon, is necessary, because if the opponent himself does not admit that the meaning to be expressed is valid, then the language that shows that meaning will not be used, and merely saying one's own words, one admits by meaning that there is a valid means of determining the meaning to be expressed. Similarly, if one does not rely on the treatise as valid, then for the meaning famous in that treatise, as a phenomenon, speculation is also not used, therefore, promising the phenomenon established by scripture is equivalent to admitting scripture as valid, for the sake of showing this similarity. Some people apply this as showing the reason, which contradicts the Pramāṇavārttika, because in the Pramāṇavārttika, it is said that "it is what harms the basis of the occasion", that is, "if oneself is valid" etc. This treatise is stated together with one's own words, as a phenomenon, it is necessary, because if one admits the treatise as valid, then on that occasion, it is what harms the basis, that is, the phenomenon established by scripture, but not the meaning of the phenomenon established by direct perception.

This is for the sake of the teachings. Second, since scripture and one's own words are the same in credibility, therefore, regarding these two refutations of scripture and one's own words, subject. The scriptures also explain that the examples are the same, because "there is no valid cognition of measurable objects" explains the reason for the example. This contradicts both scripture and one's own words, thus, for the opponent who accepts scripture as valid cognition, subject. If you assert that there is no valid cognition, then that very statement becomes an assertion of validity, and the scripture previously accepted as valid cognition will become a harm, because in general, if valid cognitions do not exist, then treatises and one's own words cannot be valid cognitions either. Therefore, the assertion of "there is no valid cognition of measurable objects," subject. It is an example of refuting self-contradiction, because after actually asserting that there is no valid cognition, one indirectly acknowledges that the statement itself has validity. Also, this subject. It is an example of showing only a small aspect of contradiction with scripture, because previously accepting scripture as valid cognition, and later asserting that there is no valid cognition, shows an example of contradiction with scripture in a contradictory way. It is not the case that the opposite of one's own position, which is established solely by scripture, will harm the meaning of one's own adherence. The dharma is the assertion that happiness will not be achieved in the future, subject. It is an example of refutation that contradicts scripture, because it is on a subject established solely by scripture that an assertion is made that contradicts the validity of scripture. Third, there are three: explaining the need to separately state the words of scripture; explaining the need to separately state one's own words; refuting the debate on the meaning of the first need. First, there are three: on a basis established by direct perception, scripture itself is not a harmer; on a basis established by scripture, scripture itself is the harmer; therefore, the need to separately indicate credibility is accomplished. First, it is not dependent on the establishing scripture, but rather on an object established by the valid cognition of direct perception, such as sound, subject. For you, even if it contradicts the treatise that explains sound as permanent through speculation, and you assert impermanence without validity being established, that scripture will not harm the meaning of your adherence to the assertion of impermanence, but rather mutually obstruct.
