Sakya Pandita (Sa-pan). It is unreasonable to divide "the difference between direct perception and factual inference" into four parts. Because commitment and fame are first briefly explained, and finally the meaning is summarized into one aspect, so there is no need to divide them separately. Moreover, the difference between factual inference has already been explained in the self-benefit chapter, considering this, so it is not explained here. Therefore, there are two here: to elaborate on the difference between credible fame; to explain the difference between meaning and what is heard in direct perception. The first part has three: to classify the eliminating measure into the category of inference; to explain the nature of the two differences separately; to explain the necessity of explaining the way of harm in detail. The first part is: If the eliminating inference is divided into three categories, the factual inference has been explained in the self-benefit chapter, relying on the three signs of result, nature, and non-perception, then what does the inference relying on credibility and fame rely on? Regarding the existence of three inferences, commitment, that is, measure, is the measure that proves that the meaning held by itself already exists before, and the measure that has been purified by three observations is the dharma. It is a true sign of the result, because on the dharma, in order to prove that the desired object to be proven is its own cause, the three aspects are complete. For beings, fame, that is, in order to prove that it can be expressed by the name of the moon with a rabbit, exists in the object of cognition, that is the true sign of nature, because on the dharma, in order to prove that the desired object to be proven is the same nature as itself, the three aspects are complete. Here, the Ornament Master and his followers said that commitment and fame are only images of the sign of the result and the sign of nature, not real, which is considering the reason for the nature of the result that the power of facts enters into, which is explained in the self-benefit chapter, just like a real argument. The second part has two: to explain the difference of credibility; to explain the difference of fame. The first part has two: the general outline and the meaning of the text. The first part is: What needs to be explained in this credible occasion is, in short, the two of commitment and self-speech, explaining the meaning of summarizing "credible" into one; therefore, explaining the meaning said as an example of a difference; and explaining the meaning of the difference between credible and inference, which is summarized into three points. The first point is:

Such as "Truly Determined Possessor" etc., the second is such as "Therefore, in this" etc., and the third is such as "Not relying on that" etc., in the meaning of explaining the difference between factual inference and belief inference, the reason for dividing belief into two and stating different commitments, and then, with six verses such as "Therefore, for harm's sake," the actual meaning of stating different commitments from factual inference is shown. With two verses such as "One's own words also," the meaning of stating different words from factual inference is shown. With "That scripture," etc., it shows the refutation of the meaning of stating different commitments. U Yukpa said: From "Not relying on that" onwards, in the gate of reasoning, the meaning of stating different commitments and one's own words is explained, and here there are three: refuting other's views, establishing one's own views, and determining the scriptures to be committed to. The first has two: refuting the intention to distinguish from the aspect of action, and refuting the intention to distinguish from the aspect of object. The first, stating the intention is: from "Not relying on that" to "is an obstacle." Refuting it is: "That scripture," etc., two verses. The second, stating the intention is: "Therefore, extremely famous," etc., one verse. Refuting it, supplementing one's own view is: from the "Determination of Valid Cognition," it is correct to establish the difference by the difference of words. Determining the scriptures to be committed to is: "Investigating this," etc., two verses. This is how it is explained. This is very unreasonable, because in inference, "Commitment to outsiders is also non-existent," if it is the former party, then in the case of fame, like the former, it also becomes the former party, and "Not relying on that," etc., in general, it is explaining the meaning of separately showing belief from inference, and not the meaning of establishing different commitments and one's own words in the gate of reasoning, and the meaning of "Harmful to all things," explaining it as becoming harmful, this is very excessive, and for a phenomenon established by scripture, if the scripture is not harmful, then it contradicts "In the Determination of Valid Cognition, because of establishing the phenomenon, it is a distinction of scriptures, therefore it is harmful," and if it is harmful, then "Therefore, extremely famous," etc.
