If, after that, in order to refute that, one states a harmful reason, is the opponent at fault? The proponent, from the aspect of stating 'what is made' as a reason, you are not doing something unreasonable, if you do not state 'what is made' as a reason, then is 'what is made' not harmful to the meaning of the scriptures? Because from the beginning it is harmful. If you admit, proponent, what is the reason? The opponent is at fault, it must not be, because you have not done the act of establishing the opponent as being at fault. If you say that stating a seemingly valid reason also does not become the opponent's fault, because it is not the opponent's statement that makes it a seemingly valid reason, then, the opponent who states a seemingly valid reason, becomes at fault, because when presenting a flawless proof, one states a meaningless reason for proving what is to be proven, because for other opponents, the opponent's own desired thesis is the opponent who states a reason that has no ability to prove it. In the case of proving that sound is impermanent by 'what is made', that opponent is not at fault, because he states the correct reason that can prove his own desired thesis. Third, if in some treatises, like saying that sound is a quality of space, some unreasonable things are refuted by the reason of 'what is made', then the things that speak of reason, like sound being impermanent, will also be refuted, this tenet is the same as the customs of bad lineages, because it is a tenet that admits that by refuting one unreasonable thing, other reasons are also refuted. For example, just like being angry at one unreasonable thing and also punishing other innocent people. Furthermore, the nature of all aspects of what is to be proven and the proof, the correct reason, will deteriorate and be cut off, because all the meanings of the scriptures are made the same as what is to be proven, and therefore one is not able to state the correct proof. Third, refuting the dispute has two parts: refuting the fault of not confusing contradiction and reason. Among them, refuting the statement of a seemingly valid counter-response. First, if by the reason of 'what is made' you refute the meaning of the scriptures, the quality of space, and establish that it is not the quality of space, it will not harm the establishment of impermanence

If someone says that through listening, etc., sound can be proven to be permanent, etc., but at the same time, it can also be proven to be impermanent, etc., and there is no mutual harm, then they are similar. Answer: As the subject, sound, for example, one subject, if it is proven by reason that you are impermanent, then it will hinder the proof that is contrary to this, which is necessarily permanent, because for you, permanent and impermanent, these contradictory things are not allowed to exist at the same time. In this case of proving that sound is impermanent by "made", as the subject, the two aspects of sound not being the quality of space and impermanence, one being established will not hinder the establishment of the other, because the two aspects of not being the quality of space and impermanence do not have such contradictions as permanent and impermanent. The second case is that even if impermanence is not related to the quality of space, if "made" hinders the quality of space of sound, then it will also hinder the impermanence of sound, so it will become a contradictory reason. Although impermanence and not being the quality of space are not the relationship of what is harmed and what can harm, if "made" harms the quality of space of sound, then it will disrupt the meaning of the treatise, that is, hinder it. If someone says that all "made" and effort-born, etc., the hindrance of the permanence of smell being the quality of earth, etc., will all become contradictory to hindering the current object to be proven, because the hindrance of the permanence of smell being the quality of earth will hinder the meaning of a scripture. If the quality of space is related to sound, then "made" as the subject, hindering the quality of space of sound, will become contradictory to hindering impermanence itself. If the quality of earth of smell is hindered, it will not become contradictory. Answer: "Made" as the subject, hindering the quality of space of sound, will not become a contradictory reason for proving that sound is impermanent, because the quality of space of sound is not the object to be proven to prove that sound is impermanent. This is pervasive, because all reasons depend on their own object to be proven, and if these are hindered, then there will be faults such as contradiction, etc., and if it can be established, then whether it is a correct merit also needs to be observed. Therefore, if sound does not have the quality of space, then the object to be proven that sound is impermanent will not arise, and this connection cannot be understood in the case of proving that sound is impermanent by "made". However, this is only because "made" hinders the quality of space of sound, thereby hindering the clinging meaning of the treatise, and it must be admitted that this is the fault of the contradictory reason.
