It is merely the nature of accomplishing the benefit of others. When the Samkhya school establishes that the eyes and other senses accomplish the benefit of others, at the time of assembling and arranging, the eyes and other senses accomplish their own benefit, because all four natures are complete. This and the established proposition explained from the perspective of reason are the same in meaning, so if there is no exclusion of pervasion on top of it, it will become a correct proposition. In order to know this, the non-exclusion is not mentioned here. In short, because it is the time to show the complete nature of correctness, it is mentioned. If you do not understand this key point, and take this as a brief explanation, and then extensively explain the non-exclusion, then you have not recognized the power of the words "its four natures" and the two treatises "commitment is also valid, and language is unobstructed." Here, in the first verse, self and intention are explained in order, according to the order of the verse. Later, the reverse is according to the order of the extensive explanation. The reason for arranging the order in this way in the extensive explanation is that when intention is shown as the established proposition of the time of mental intention, in order to dispel the doubt that all the meanings of the statements committed by the debater are the objects of mental intention, and whether they are the established proposition of the time, it is necessary to mention oneself. In the verse, in order to apply intention to the debater himself, he is mentioned first. If there is not even a trace of doubt in others, what need is there to mention decision? The second has two parts: extensively explaining intention and extensively explaining oneself. The first has three parts: showing that mental intention is the established proposition, if it is not the established proposition, it is too much, and in this way, other wrong conceptions are also refuted. The first has three parts: an example of mental intention being the established proposition, refuting others' arguments against it, and explaining the necessity of showing it in this way. The first is, if the word "intention" is not spoken, but mental intention shows the established proposition of the time, then what is its example? Even if it is not spoken, the collection of things pervaded by mental intention by the debater is the established proposition of the time, because it is mentally intended as the established proposition. For example, when the Samkhya school establishes that the eyes and other senses accomplish the benefit of others, the eyes and other senses accomplishing their own benefit is the established proposition of the time. The second has three

Abandon, abandon the meaningless transformation of self-utterance. Abandon the contradictory signs turning into one. Abandon the lack of desire for realization. First, if the term "desire" excludes what the debater does not desire in their heart from being the thesis, then the self-utterance becomes meaningless, is that so? Even if the term "desire" prevents all desires other than the debater's from being the thesis, the word "self" is necessary because it can prevent the doubt of whether all the meanings of the scriptures promised by the debater are the thesis, because it is done for that meaning. The reason is established, in the commentary of the Compendium it says: "The word 'self' indicates the promise without relying on the treatise." Second, if only the debater's heart's desire is the thesis, then all contradictory signs will depend on the heart's desire and turn into one, is that so? That contradictory sign is a dharma, the unique heart's desire transforms into many depending on the way of expression, because depending on the way of expression, sometimes it is expressed from the aspect of dharmas, sometimes it is expressed from the aspect of subjects, and sometimes it is expressed from the aspect of the differences between the two. This is the meaning in the Pramāṇavārttika, "That is different from the aspect of dharmas, or from the aspect of subjects, or from the aspect of the differences of that," the way the Sakya school explains it, the extensive refutation and establishment have already been explained in the general meaning. Third, how do you realize that the eye etc. doing for self-benefit is the thesis of the heart's desire? Even if the Samkhya school does not verbally say that the eye etc. do for self-benefit, but desires in the heart, is a dharma, you have a way to realize it, because when you establish the proof that the eye etc. do for self-benefit, you will realize it from that time. Third, the eye etc. doing for self-benefit, showing as the thesis of the occasion, is a dharma, it is necessary, because there establishing the eye etc. doing for the benefit of others, for the proof of the heart's desire of collection and accumulation is a harm, so it is to know that it is a contradictory sign. Moreover, it also shows the fault that the proof of the eye etc. doing for the benefit of others does not follow in the similar example, because in self-benefit it does not follow from the similar example.
