The two become different objects. Since valid cognition is similar to the object, it engages with the object. Since the result is self-cognition, it engages with its own nature. If asked: The two, valid cognition and result, are the subject. The object is also not different. Although it is self-cognition when examined, it is considered object-cognition in name. The appearance that appears to you two is nominally established as the object, and when examined, you are its nature. Fourth: If it is said that taking the apprehended aspect as valid cognition, and establishing this as the result of self-cognition, it contradicts the previous explanation of the result of object-cognition. The consciousness of object appearance is the subject. When examining its own nature, that is, the situation, it is said to be the result of self-cognition. The previous explanation of object-cognition is also the cognition of its own nature. Third: Why is the external object established as the object to be measured, and it becomes unreasonable? Although there is an object, there is no experience of it as it is. If asked: As in the Sautrāntika school, consciousness is similar to the external object, that is, the aspect arises due to its power, or as in the Yogācāra school, it is similar to other imprints, that is, the aspect arises due to its power, which is also acceptable. The consciousness of object appearance is the subject. The external object is indeed considered the object to be measured, because the cause of the appearance of the object is also the external object, that is, for this reason, as in the former, it is the cause of creating the aspect, so it is the nature of the cause, as in the latter, it is the objective condition of appearance, so it is the cause in name. Some Indians explain the meaning of "similar to others" as "different," which is not the meaning of the word. Similarity is the meaning of the appearance of the aspect, so it should be understood that it is synonymous with "other" in the context of "from outside" or "from others." This way of connecting also seems not to be understood by others. The consciousness of object appearance is the subject. How does it grasp the object, and it becomes not grasping? Because the entity of the object does not appear directly, but has the appearance of the aspect. If asked: How is the example? Like some of the appearances of horses, cattle, etc. that appear in dreams. The consciousness of object appearance is the subject. When examined, it is true that it does not grasp the external object. When examined, I also do not know that kind of grasping of the external object, that is, because it is not accepted. The one who accomplishes the action, that is, from "the one" to here, because it is understood as being with the action. And, or the result of self-cognition. And, its nature.

Affairs are determined. And, the four results of measurement indicated by "the appearance of the object itself," should be understood as being explained in order. Fourth, even false appearances also result in self-awareness, divided into two: Because of the false appearance, it is not self-aware. When measuring oneself, the result of self-aware measurement is achieved. The first is divided into four: Although there are no three: object, subject, and consciousness, they appear in delusion. For the appearance, establish the three: measurement, result, and evaluation. Prohibit the establishment of the appearance itself as true. If there is no truth, then there is no delusion, and it is rejected. The first is: In the Compendium, it says: "When the appearance is the object to be measured, the measure and its result, the form of grasping is consciousness, therefore, the three are not made different." This is to explain its meaning, if there is no external object, how can the establishment of the three measurements, results, and evaluations be established? The consciousness of the appearance of the object, the dharma, in the object, there is no difference between the three measurements, results, and evaluations, because in your own self, although there is no distinction between the three: object, subject, and consciousness, the inverted view of those deluded by ignorance, with the appearance of beings, in you, the appearance of the object, the appearance of the subject, and the result of experience, all appear to be different, for example, those whose senses are confused by mantras and medicines, etc., in clay lumps and small boxes, etc., horses and cattle, etc., although there is no form of them, in clay lumps, etc., they appear as horses and cattle, etc., different from the form. If it is said that horses and cattle are newly produced by mantras, etc., clay lumps, etc., the dharma, are not born as horses and cattle, etc., because those with eyes not confused by mantras, etc., have not seen such horses and cattle, etc. For example, in a distant place, in a vast and flat wilderness, even small objects appear large, but small objects are not born large. Second, one consciousness of the appearance of the object, the dharma, in you, it is not contradictory to establish the three measurements, results, and evaluations in name, because in you, although there is no appearance of the object, the appearance of the subject, and the appearance of self-awareness, in those three, in order, such as the object to be measured and, the measuring is the measure, and the establishment of residing in the position of the result, this is done as how it appears in accordance with the deluded consciousness, it is only like that, not the establishment of truth. The third is divided into two:
