Established by earth (soil). To cease the dispute between name and what is signified. The first has two parts: establishing by examining the conceptual thought to be separated; establishing by applying the implied proof. The first has two parts: establishing that conceptual thought combined with name is separate; establishing that conceptual thought combined with genus, etc., is separate. The first has two parts: establishing the valid proof based on reasoning; refuting the established seeming proof. The first has three parts: if there is no cause for error, it is established by direct perception itself; if there is a cause for error, it is established by relying on the sign; after revealing the cause for error, ceasing the dispute about it. The first has two parts: explaining how it is established by direct perception itself; establishing the proof on the basis of the subject. The first is: The teacher thinks that if the sense direct perception is separate from conceptual thought and there is no cause for error, it is established by direct perception; if there is a cause for error, it is established by the proof mentioned at the time of mental direct perception, so the proof is not actually stated, so the sense direct perception, the subject, if there is no cause for error, then you are separate from conceptual thought, which can be established by self-awareness direct perception itself, because if there is no cause for error, then you are separate from conceptual thought, and your experience of self-awareness direct perception can lead to certainty. Pervasion: If all conceptual thoughts of individuals have a basis in name, then they must be recognized by their own self-awareness. The second is: What is the sense direct perception without a cause for error? How is it established by direct perception itself as being free from conceptual thought? From all external objects, the mind of conceptual thought is gathered inward, and when the inner nature of conceptual thought abides without moving towards form, etc., the wisdom of the eye consciousness seeing form, etc., the subject, is sense direct perception, because it is the unerring wisdom born from the dominant condition, the sense consciousness with form. The sense consciousness of the previously mentioned state, the subject, you are separate from conceptual thought combined with name, which can be established by your experience of self-awareness direct perception, because if you are conceptual thought combined with name, then again, when the wisdom after your experience of self-awareness direct perception slightly conceptualizes, my (his) conceptual thought will become like this, it must be recognized, because you do not recognize it that way.
