What is said is that it is the cause of wisdom that does not deceive the entering object, therefore it is named after it. Whatever arises after the direct perception that possesses the object of a part of the characteristic is called a valid cognition, because it is the cause of valid cognition. For example, valid cognition is briefly named after inference. Third, inference will not be mistaken, because it is not deceptive, just like direct perception, if you say so. Inference, as the subject, even if it is not deceiving the self-characterized objects, is considered to be mistaken, because those images of emptiness, external objects, and self-characteristics are clung to as the nature of external objects and self-characteristics. Fourth, inference is because of the indirect relationship with the entering object. The mind with an object, the sound is impermanent, and the inference that a place has fire, as the subject. The dharma to be proven, to understand that the sound is impermanent, and that a place has fire, is not deceptive because it is established through an indirect relationship, because the nature of the pervasive made is impermanent or the cause of smoke, fire, etc. pervades the made, and is the reason for the mind that grasps smoke, and the cause of these two minds that grasp the characteristic is also your reason. Here, it is said that the mind that grasps the characteristic is the mind that grasps the pervasive, and from this it is established that the view of the scriptures is that from that category, the mind that grasps the characteristic is the definitive knowledge of the self-reverse that is to be established as the characteristic. Second, there are two: there is no difference in the meaning of negating the object to be negated, and they are distinguished separately from the way of establishing the combination. First, there are two: all negations are established from non-perception, therefore, by perceiving the contradictory, non-perception is dispelled. First, if it is said that after establishing the connection of the establishing characteristic, inference is established as non-deceptive, then how is the connection established on the negating characteristic? For the two, the non-perception of the cause and the non-perception of the non-appearance, the reverse connection, that is, the arising connection, is established. For the pervasive non-perception, the reverse connection, that is, the one-identity connection, is established, and all other reasons for non-perception ultimately coincide with the non-perception of the object to be negated by valid cognition, thereby determining that there is no object to be negated, which ultimately converges on the characteristic of self-nature, thus showing that the one-identity connection is established. Preventing the place to be negated, preventing the dharma itself is establishing the perception of the five contradictions as the characteristic.

In all things, negation is established by the non-perception of valid cognition, because the opposite of the meaning of those who claim that pots, etc., are established by establishing valid cognition, is reversed by valid cognition, therefore, negation is definitely established as non-existent. The second (part) has three (aspects): From the two, contradiction and object of perception, inference of non-perception. If not inferred, it is too much. Other non-perceptions are also established in this way. The first (aspect) is: Then, isn't it also the case that the five contradictions are established as reasons? If asked in this way, on some basis, cold touch and, the result of cold is goosebumps, negating cold touch that contradicts it, or the cause of goosebumps that contradicts it, the existence of fire, what is said and seen, is also the subject, cold touch and, the result of cold is goosebumps, the valid cognition of the object of perception itself infers non-existence, because that basis is something that can prevent cold touch and the result of cold is goosebumps. The second (aspect) is: Other than that, if, on some basis, it is said that there is one fire thing, then the other cold touch and, the absence of the result of cold is goosebumps, from where is that known? If asked, because it contradicts those two, if said in this way, then how is the contradiction itself established? Because of non-coexistence, it is established as contradiction, if said in this way, then how is non-coexistence established? When it arises without touching the continuation of cold touch, due to the power of being close to the fire, the situation where cold touch can appear, because it is not seen, it is established as non-coexistence, therefore, from fire it is established that there is no cold touch, if said in this way, in this case where fire prevents cold touch, it is the subject, due to the power of the existence of being close to the fire, the situation where cold touch can appear, not seeing, that is not the valid cognition of establishment itself, it is too much. Cold touch is not perceived by valid cognition, that is not the reason for the valid cognition of establishment itself. The third (aspect) is: If non-perception is inferred by the five contradictions, if non-perception is established as a reason, other reasons must also be inferred, if asked in this way, because non-existence cannot be understood by anything other than non-perception, therefore, like "because the pot is not perceived by valid cognition", even if expressed in the words of non-perception itself, that itself of the pot not being perceived by valid cognition, is also the subject, is the establisher of the absence of the pot on some basis, because the three ways of establishing in this way are complete. On some basis, for negating some phenomena, that phenomenon is not perceived, that is the valid cognition of establishment.
