Is it because it exists? For the same object of measurement, multiple valid cognitions are also established as measurers, because both direct perception and inference are committed to being established on the same self-characterized object. Therefore, the number of one valid cognition, etc., should not be excluded. It is not the case that direct perception and inference are determined on their respective objects, because one valid cognition is established on the object of both, so the other becomes meaningless. For example, just like seeing the difference. The number of three valid cognitions, etc., should not be excluded. Because on the object of measurement, other than the self-characterized and the universal, there are cases where the self-characterized and the universal are mixed, etc., so it is said. The second part is divided into two: avoiding clinging to mixture, avoiding transformation into something else. Avoiding seeing the difference transforming into something else. The first part is divided into four: inference from the sign is the inference that clings to the universal. Realization through subsequent determination is valid cognition. In the view where destruction and non-destruction are the same, it is also inference. Incidentally refuting the views of other schools regarding impermanence. The first part is divided into three: brief indication of the actual meaning, incidental detailed explanation, and conclusion of the main text. The first part is: In short, because of combining with it, it is valid cognition. Others are not existent. Explaining the meaning of this statement: the valid cognition that determines color to be impermanent, as the subject. Because of the reason for clinging by combining the self-characterized of color with the universal of impermanence, the fault of becoming another valid cognition does not occur. Because of clinging by combining the universal of color with the universal of impermanence. Some people raise two questions and then say that the valid cognition that realizes the impermanence of color from the sign of being produced, clinging to it as the subject, is not related to the previous view, because there is no sign, so it exists. Because it does not harm the basis of this designation. Some people refute that if inference is clung to as the subject, it contradicts Shakya. If the decisive cognition led by direct perception is clung to as the subject, it is not related to the treatises such as how things exist, etc., and it is directly contradictory to impermanence, etc., through inference, so it is unreasonable. Therefore, both the previous and subsequent views are established as similar appearances, and the previous view also applies to the decisive cognition led by direct perception. Clinging to the valid cognition that is determined by the impermanence of color, which can be applied to one's own inference, is the key meaning. The second part is divided into three: even if combined with the universal, it is the nature of the thing.

Established. Even if confused about others, there is no deception due to connection. Explaining in detail the reason why there is no deception due to connection. First, impermanence becomes a non-existent dharma, because the generality of color is non-existent and is its dharma, if it is said so. Impermanence, the subject of dharma, your non-existent nature is not a dharma, in meaning, that color itself is you, although it does not need to be established because it is established as such, but in front of the mind, that color's own characteristic is not established as your own characteristic. Second, in others, because impermanence is established by the appearance of color, then the self-characteristic of other colors does not become impermanent, because appearance is consciousness and color is the meaning of external objects, if it is said so. The inference that understands the impermanence of color, the subject of dharma, because the appearance of the impermanence of color is established, it is not that the impermanence of color is not established, because the appearance that appears to oneself is the self-characteristic of clinging to the impermanence of color, therefore, the object of entry, the impermanence of color, is established, and the conceptualization that establishes the indirect connection to the impermanence of color is valid. Third, there are two, the inference after establishment is not deceptive due to connection. The inference after negation is not deceptive due to connection. First, there are four, how the way of connection is real. Therefore, non-deception is established. Although there is no deception, there is confusion. The meaning established by that method. First, how is the indirect connection of the object of entry of the subsequent inference established? Sound is impermanent, and with fire, on such things, the sound of impermanence produced by the mind holding the mark, and the consciousness with the mark of knowing fire, the subject of dharma, your own object of entry, fire and impermanence, are indirectly connected to the self-characteristic, whatever the nature of impermanence and fire, and how the cause of smoke becomes, such impermanence and fire are taken as marks, and are the cause of the mind holding smoke. Because you are born from those two minds holding the mark. Second, in that way, the consciousness of the mark and the consciousness of the marked, the two dharmas, although empty with the self-characteristic appearing in it, are not deceptive on the object of entry, because indirectly it is the consciousness connected with the object of entry. Here, the consciousness holding the mark is the consciousness that does not deceive the object of entry.
