Possessing a heart pervaded by compassion, wisdom without defilement, destroying all the hosts of delusion, abiding within the lotus of all lineages, I take refuge in all the Sugatas. It is the delightful garden of all supreme minds.

Alas! The grove that conquers all fears of the lowly, The supreme one who subdues the wealth of existence, I take refuge in the supreme speech, the Dharma. Destroying the poison of illusion, such as desire, Possessing pure wisdom and compassion, (17) I take refuge in the assembly of ascetics, the powerful ones, I also pay homage to those who are free from existence. Following the cause, the master's realm is self-nature, Through the realization of the result, becoming victorious over enemies, The root of compassion is planted and truly realized, I generate the unequaled Bodhicitta. In order to fully ripen sentient beings, Or in order to fully protect them, In order to purify my own mind, All these are abandoned like grass and so on. Likewise, for the sake of purifying myself and others, Morality, patience, diligence, and meditation, And unsurpassed wisdom, I will meditate on each and every moment. In order for this being to attain, The Sugata, skilled in mantras, The Dharma King, constantly spontaneously accomplished, I will abide in the excellent place. May the protectors, the Buddhas, And the Bodhisattvas, consider me. I, named so-and-so, Until the essence of enlightenment (18).
