Fearing that it has passed and has not arisen in the continuum, the introduction was done in this way to eliminate this doubt. These are the actual (55) basis. Third, what needs to be supplemented afterwards is that if the mindfulness of equanimity is free from distraction, then separate it. If you become distracted in the post-meditation, then alternate between equanimity and guarding against distraction. Contemplate death and impermanence, and at the time of death, etc., which of the three, body, speech, and mind, will die? The mind that thinks like this is the nature of death and the mind of death, and recognize this. This is also merely established by the mind, and is liberated from the clinging to permanence and impermanence. Similarly, by contemplating all the faults of samsara, you will know that both samsara and nirvana are like the mountains on either side of a dream. Furthermore, knowing all sentient beings as parents, cultivate loving-kindness and compassion. Similarly, cultivate from aspiration to bodhicitta, recognize its nature, and abide without fabrication. In the form of bodhicitta, the essence is free from elaboration (56), and abiding in a state of nothing to do, emptiness and compassion will be distinguished. Furthermore, from the path of the vase empowerment of the four empowerments, through any of the four stages of the generation stage, visualize yourself as the deity. Visualize the outer and inner worlds as the deity, the sound as mantra, and observe the clarity and its essence. It is free from conceptualization, it is the practice of the union of generation and completion stages, combining the generation stage with Mahamudra and luminosity, and at all times of walking, standing, sleeping, sitting, talking, etc., recognize your own nature and mix it with Mahamudra. Furthermore, practicing the generation stage and completion stage or shamatha-vipashyana indistinguishably with one-pointedness is Kunsang. If it becomes stable, then in sacred places, practice secretly by observing, meditating, and acting with wisdom, this is secret conduct. If it is stable without distraction, then mix it with the distraction of a large gathering, carry it on the path and practice it, this is gathering conduct. According to the difference between stability and instability (57), there are three types: large, medium, and small. For the large one, there is no definite sign, and if you have attained the great path of union and want to engage in elaborate activities, then in the guise of Heruka, without distinguishing between what is edible and inedible, clean and unclean, faults and virtues, mix it with intense circumstances and practice it, gradually traversing the path of union and attaining the path of seeing, from your own side conquering demons, afflictions, and the Hinayana, from all directions.

Namyal (Victorious One). By performing great deeds for the benefit of sentient beings through grand tsok practices, this conduct is also traversed by the Mahamudra itself. For individuals with the sharpest faculties, there is nothing further to extract, because they are already separated from the object of meditation and the meditator. If it is not so, there are many other ways of extracting, which can be learned from the mouths of the lamas. These methods include alternating between shamatha and vipassana, and combining the common vehicle's path, the methods of mantra, and the four conducts to extract (page 58). To diligently practice and extract in this way is one method. Furthermore, to eliminate obstacles, one must be free from attachment to good and bad places, etc., and even though the three times (past, present, future) are not established, one must abandon the thought of "at this very moment, I will attain enlightenment," and instead be certain of attaining enlightenment in a single instant. Do not regard your own mind as ordinary, but recognize it as being the essence of the five wisdoms from the very beginning. Do not regard your own skandhas, dhatus, and ayatanas as impure, but be certain that they are originally the deities and consorts. Abandon the idea that liberation can be achieved solely through hearing and thinking, and instead resolve to be liberated through the power of meditation and the blessings of the lama. Abandon the five wrong conceptions of objects, time, essence, nature, and wisdom. Maintain a proper posture, and whether abiding or moving, remain in that state, observing the essence and abiding in equanimity (page 59), and be skilled in beginning meditation. Do not let samadhi and posture become mixed up, avoid dullness, and be skilled in taking breaks in between. No matter what kind of good experiences arise, do not be attached to them, and ultimately be skilled in cultivating the experiences, which is to learn these three kinds of skillfulness. The various thoughts and appearances of the mind are the Nirmanakaya, awareness is the Sambhogakaya, emptiness is the Svabhavikakaya, and the inseparability of these three kayas is the Dharmakaya. Be certain that all appearances, existence, samsara, and nirvana are its nature, and that all dharmas are free from the three characteristics of arising, ceasing, and abiding, and are devoid of all extremes of elaboration. Thus, abandon all acceptance and rejection, hope and fear, and abide in equanimity, this is the second method. Furthermore, if one is attached to the three of bliss, clarity, and non-thought, one will fall into the three realms, so no matter what good or bad experiences arise, do not cling to them as superior. By establishing it through the reasoning of being utterly separate (page 60), all dharmas have become empty in their own essence, or by conceptually analyzing and negating existence, merely negating existence, one says, "All of this is emptiness."
