That manifestation is cultivated through practice, and enhanced by the power of realization. Realizing equality in one taste, it is enhanced by the power of compassion cultivated through practice. In all conduct, cultivate practice, and without leaving the three doors in the ordinary, transform whatever is done into virtuous resources, thereby enhancing the ordinary into merit. Whatever arises as afflictions, suffering, obstacles, or faults, without abandoning or adopting, look at its own face, and enhance it by transforming faults into merits, or turning bad omens into auspiciousness. In this, when virtuous practice is low, immediately looking at afflictions and severe illnesses will not easily integrate into virtuous practice. In that state, by generating endurance and sustaining the innate, gradually relax, and for those with low meditation experience, it will vanish into emptiness without a trace. For those with high experience, the self-door does not close, and it exists nakedly and clearly in self-emptiness. In that state, as mentioned above, the original natural state should be left uncorrected in its own nature. In detail, each of the seventeen points, such as the three ways of cutting off deviations, should be enhanced, and when cutting off deviations, if there is a need to eliminate faults, if the faults that need to be eliminated do not occur, then there is no need to show these examples like blind men touching an elephant. If any fault occurs, it is necessary to identify and show the antidote to eliminate the fault, and to review the method of enhancement. If the methods of cutting off deviations are gathered in one place, then this is the ninth Dharma category. Crossing the three dangerous passes and enhancing, taking emptiness as an enemy: Searching for the nature of the mind, observing the nature, seeing that nothing is established in it, therefore thinking that all dharmas are only emptiness, what is the use of the virtues of body, speech, and mind? Thinking that good and evil and karmic cause and effect are not established, holding that there is nothing to abandon or adopt, this is called the fault of the black mouth, which leads to inverted views and practices, so it is called the deviation of taking emptiness as an enemy. As it is said in the Root Wisdom: If one sees emptiness wrongly, that person will destroy himself and others, like holding a poisonous snake or reversing a mantra. Therefore, those with intelligence should not be stained by the fault of being attached to emptiness, even though nothing is established in its own nature, still, in the unceasing radiance of manifestation, it is necessary to rely on the interdependence of cause and effect, good and evil.

Penetrating the infallible essence of conventional truth, that is, realization is equal to space, but practice is cultivated on the dual union of subtle and perfect auspicious interdependence, and while not deviating from emptiness, the path of dual union of view and practice is studied. So, wasn't it taught above that there is no acceptance or rejection? That is to liberate the clinging of abandonment and attachment. This (what is said here) is to prevent even in conventional truth, or beginners, from directly grasping the literal meaning and becoming unbridled. Seventieth Dharma section. Also, compassion becoming an enemy is: Having gained a little of the bliss of samadhi, compassion arises for sentient beings who do not possess this bliss, thinking: Alas, if I do not liberate these sentient beings, merely liberating myself will not lead to unsurpassed enlightenment. Therefore, thinking that I will accomplish the benefit of these sentient beings, one abandons one's own samadhi, and with effort engages in various conditioned roots of virtue, and becomes exhausted by the clinging to the truth of oneself and all sentient beings, this is called compassion becoming an enemy. Even if unbearable compassion arises, one must single-mindedly cultivate one's own immaculate realization without separating from it, abandon temporary noisy distractions, and strive only for practice and cultivation in a secluded place. Seventy-first Dharma section. Also, cause and effect becoming enemies is: Having established the view, but not having penetrated the practice of profound pith instructions, or, because of understanding everything, seeing what is done, in order to truly see the true meaning, one must first become proficient in all fields of knowledge, and then determine the meaning of reality. Therefore, thinking that I must become proficient in all that is to be known, one engages in minor matters such as grammar, logic, crafts, etc., and abandons the training of tranquility and insight, this is called the deviation of the thought of cause and effect becoming an enemy. These should be carefully examined and measured, and then single-mindedly meditate on the profound meaning of the union of emptiness and compassion, so that immaculate wisdom that is not confused about all phenomena of appearance, existence, samsara, and nirvana will naturally arise, and this is called one knowing all liberation. Therefore, understanding the equality of emptiness and compassion, there will be no clinging to either cause or effect as superior.
