All dullness and agitation are contained within these two. If you want to eliminate them, you should, as mentioned earlier, through meditation, conduct, diet, breath, body posture, etc., strive to transform dullness into agitation and agitation into dullness. And learn to keep awareness abiding in a state free from both dullness and agitation. Alternatively, to eliminate dullness and agitation through Guru Yoga: When dullness arises, visualize above the crown of your head Guru Amitabha, with a red-colored body, and all the lineage gurus, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas dissolving into him. Pray with devotion, reverence, and intense longing. From the Guru, countless rays of light emanate and dissolve into yourself, thereby purifying all four causes of dullness—dullness caused by time, dullness caused by conduct, dullness caused by shadows, dullness caused by karmic ripening, and so on. The Guru dissolves into light and merges into yourself. Visualize your own body as a sphere of light, illuminating all pure lands. That light also rises into the sky, and by abiding in the state of intense awareness, dullness is eliminated. For agitation, visualize Guru Vajrasattva, with a blue-colored body, in the center of a four-petaled lotus in your heart. On the four petals, visualize Vairochana and others, also with the same color as the Guru, surrounded by heroes, dakinis, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, etc., of their respective families. From the hearts of each of them, blue rays of light emanate and strike the Guru. Clearly visualize the light filling all directions, like tightening the ropes of a tent, and then abide in the state of Mahamudra. In general, both dullness and agitation depend on the body posture and the mind posture, so it is very important to adjust the body posture well. Alternatively, whatever arises, whether dullness or agitation, look at its nature and abide without alteration, and it will be well eliminated. Also, if there is too little bliss and awareness in the body, visualize Guru Amitabha. If there is too little clarity, visualize Akshobhya. If there is too little non-conceptualization, visualize Vairochana, and pray as you wish. This will eliminate all obstacles, and qualities will increase. At the time of death, also make death itself a companion on the path. Without clinging to anything or harboring hope and fear, blend into clarity and emptiness, and death will also become a companion on the path. In detail, by focusing on each of the separate obstacles of illness, evil spirits, and meditation, this is the fifth Dharma discourse. Summary.

So, here, the obstacle-clearing (rituals) can be gathered together and done once. (Palms together) Third, the way to practice the path is: Generally speaking, Mahamudra does not rely on the effort of gradually practicing the path. As Shang Rinpoche said, "Once Mahamudra is decided, it is a mistake for the ignorant to calculate the grounds and paths." Therefore, however, in specific situations, in order to guide those to be tamed onto the path, or because sentient beings have sharp or dull faculties, there will be various situations such as sudden enlightenment, transcendence, and gradual enlightenment. Here, there is no contradiction in showing the way to practice the path in accordance with gradual enlightenment, so based on this, the way to practice the path from higher to higher with the principle of the four yogas, as well as the boundaries between higher and lower, etc., and the way to manifest the path are: If divided in detail, each of the four yogas can be individually matched with four each in the three aspects of base, path, and fruit. Here, speaking in accordance with the path, the teachings of the Kagyu masters say, "Experience and realization are different." First, the experience of one-pointed yoga is: Awareness is clear and limpid, that is the essence. If there are ups and downs, that is still experience, not stable. If the ups and downs are small, then the habits are heavy. Generally speaking, just one-pointedness is experience, not realization. Even if it is free from elaboration, the thought suddenly arises in the mind, "The lama's teaching is this," and thus recognizing one's own mind, that is experience. Awareness itself realizes its own selflessness in its own way, that is realization. One taste is: the thought that one's own body, external appearances, and one's own mind are all selfless, that is experience. The appearance of the external environment is like an image in a mirror, although they appear separately, they are realized together, that is realization. The strong feeling that there is no object of meditation and no meditator, that is experience. Awareness itself realizes itself in its own way, separated from the object of meditation and the meditator, that is realization. It is said that it is very important not to confuse the two, experience and realization. One-pointed yoga is that the yogi who can clearly see the essence of the mind, his mind abides in one-pointedness, awareness is clear and limpid, and a joyful experience arises, and from this, the three experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-thought also arise. Moreover, due to unfamiliarity, familiarity, and extreme familiarity, it will transform into small, medium, and large three types. Therefore, it will be called that for abiding for a short, long, and as long as one desires. Small one-pointedness is the mind.
