If you leave it as it is without any modification, then the manifest thoughts will cease, and you will enter a state of bliss, clarity, and non-discrimination, and the mind will be able to achieve concentration. Because you have not gained control over samadhi, sometimes you can meditate and sometimes you cannot, sometimes it is clear and sometimes it is not. At that time, you have not attained realization, and great certainty has not arisen. Even so, it is only the beginning of the wisdom that can bring joy and the starting point of the path. These experiences of one-pointedness are like seeing just a corner of the moon on the first day. By leaving the mind uncorrected, a comfortable bliss remains, and you do not want to break it. If you do not break it, the meaning of meditation will not arise, so you must break it and not prevent realization. Whatever thoughts arise, you must recognize their nature as emptiness and establish them firmly. Moreover, in the early stages of one-pointedness, there is a grasping at clarity, emptiness, and bliss in the mind. In this state, if conceptual thoughts arise, they will naturally become clear, and there will also be a false certainty that you are meditating. In post-meditation, there will be a confused memory, so most of the appearances will appear as confused, accompanied by joy. When the mind is grasped, it will be accompanied by experience, and there will be a grasping that it is emptiness and mental appearance. There is not much difference except that the dream is clearer and brighter than before. Sometimes it feels like you cannot meditate, it is difficult to settle down, there are great ups and downs, and faith, pure appearances, and compassion will greatly increase. This is the sixth Dharma discourse. The intermediate one is that sometimes you enter samadhi even without meditating, and when you meditate, it becomes stable, that is, the samadhi of bliss, clarity, and non-discrimination. Through practice, its pure part can show the contaminated direct perception, magical powers, and various qualities. In this experience, fewer conceptual thoughts arise than before, and whatever arises becomes naturally clear. In post-meditation, the vast appearance accompanied by the experience of clarity and emptiness appears as meditation whenever you remember it. Sometimes it appears as confusion. Dreams become fewer than before. This experience sometimes comes and sometimes does not, and the meditation becomes very warm. This is the seventh Dharma discourse. The great one-pointedness is that in both meditative and post-meditative states and in the four activities, day and night, continuously and naturally, you proceed in the state of clarity and emptiness. The experience of clarity, emptiness, and bliss arises continuously, and all conceptual thoughts, post-meditation, and dreams are also in it.

Disappeared. Experiences of emptiness such as the bliss-emptiness of mind itself, awareness-emptiness, appearance-emptiness, clarity-emptiness, and all experiences like dreams and illusions, mostly arise. Because there are many contaminated qualities and there is no better meditation than this, one might think, "Is this great non-meditation?" But without clinging to those experiences and realizations, realize that conceptual thoughts are clarity-emptiness and appearances are appearance-emptiness. Gain the memory of certainty that everything is mind, mind is unborn and self-liberated, and the realization of manifestation ceases, and generate the perception of the lama as the Buddha. In that state of clarity-emptiness, days and nights pass by, and without attachment to samsara, without inverted thoughts, having seen the essence, if it reaches a point where there is no meditation, then it is the perfection of the skill of one-pointedness, the qualities are born, and the essence is seen. So until that happens, exert effort and practice. What is to be abandoned here are the five objects of desire, so abandon attachment to this life, attachment to enjoyment, attachment to samadhi, etc., and with purity, one must dwell in solitude. The difference between samatha and vipassana here is distinguished by whether one abides or not. Abiding in a state of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality is samatha. If one does not abide in that, then it is not post-meditation. This is the eighth Dharma teaching. Secondly, freedom from elaboration: That is also, if one feels comfortable in the state of abiding, it is one-pointedness, and without clinging to that experience of one-pointedness, protect it. In this way, without relying on the effort of meditation, mindfulness, and retention, one realizes that the nature of abiding and arising, and the nature of mind, are co-emergent wisdom, and that all phenomena are free from elaboration, understanding them without artificiality. All experiences disappear into emptiness where there is nowhere to go. The nature of awareness, like peeling off a husk or finding a treasure, is realized nakedly as freedom from elaboration. One thinks that one has gained freedom in the mind, and feels that this is the only way, recognizing it from the beginning, feeling relieved, and there is not much increase or decrease in experience. Even if there is, there is no happiness or sadness. If the mind is released to external appearances, everything will appear like an illusion. Even if it goes into emptiness again, there is no contradiction. This is because there is no certainty about appearances, and a certainty arises that is free from imputation, and a realization arises that feels like that is the way it is, uniting shamatha and vipassana, the characteristics of conceptual thoughts are liberated in their own place, so thoughts are the Dharmakaya.
