When negative thoughts arise, they steal the life of impure liberation. One should aim to destroy them with emptiness, meditating on emptiness to cut off afflictions until they are not established. Or, the lama gives instructions, and one realizes emptiness slightly, thinking it easy to use as an antidote, abandoning afflictions and thoughts, wanting to attain something supreme like ultimate truth or Buddhahood, meditating on non-thought as an antidote to thoughts. This is called emptiness falling into antidote. Therefore, without abandoning afflictions and thoughts to become a Buddha elsewhere, one should rest without alteration in whatever arises and appears, without distinguishing between superior and inferior, harm and harmer, etc. Therefore, emptiness falling into antidote is wanting to destroy a separate affliction with a separate emptiness. Like hooking with an iron hook, meditating on emptiness as an antidote to thoughts, thus hooking back, these two should be eliminated by looking at one's own face and effortlessly at whatever arises. This is the seventh Dharma discourse. Fourth, wanting to realize all paths solely through emptiness, without considering the aspect of skillful means. For emptiness, there is no distinction between path and fruit, but I now meditate on emptiness, using it as a path, and later want to attain the fruit, a Buddha endowed with the three bodies and five wisdoms. Or, I think that by meditating on emptiness I will attain fruits such as the ten bhumis, five paths, and four yogas. This is called emptiness falling into the path, and it should be abandoned. Therefore, if one realizes one's own mind, that itself is the Dharmakaya, and all dharmas are spontaneously accomplished as the four bodies and five wisdoms from the beginning. Therefore, one should not seek a new Buddha but should abide in the state of great equanimity. Emptiness falling into the path is wanting to attain the Dharmakaya by meditating on emptiness, and not being able to accomplish meditation through spontaneous arising, drawing a picture with conceptual mind and meditating. These two should be eliminated by knowing samsara and nirvana as equal and cutting off the fabrication of desires. Thus, without falling into nature, increase, antidote, and path, one should rest equally in self-arisen spontaneity, equanimity, and great bliss. So, what kind of meditation is this conceptual meditation on the emptiness of the four fallacies?

If asked, is this completely impermissible? No. For those who are beginners in practice, if they do not contemplate and meditate on "all dharmas are empty of inherent existence and peaceful," children will be too afraid of emptiness to enter it. Therefore, it is not contradictory to guide them with skillful means through the stages of scripture and reasoning, and then have them meditate. Similarly, it is also appropriate to cultivate the antidotes to karma and afflictions, to use them as the path, and to expand those with elaboration into the absence of elaboration, gradually accustoming them to it, but ultimately it should be abandoned. Therefore, the object of meditation for beginners and the object of meditation for those with superior faculties are initially different, just as the food of a grown man is not suitable for a small child. In short, it is very important to meditate according to the level of one's mind. Ultimately, if one does not fall into the four pitfalls and directly realizes the correct view, it will become the supreme enhancement. These are the enhancements after cutting off the four pitfalls of view, that is, the enhancement of vipassanā. If explained in detail, each of the four pitfalls is explained separately, there would be eight dharma categories here. In summary, it is also permissible to combine the four pitfalls into one here. Cutting off the wrong paths of meditation and enhancing it: Among the three experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, if the experience of bliss is dominant, without distinguishing between contaminated and uncontaminated bliss, but simply examining the general bliss with wisdom, meditating on it and clinging to it, one will fall into the desire realm, because one is entangled by the attachment of desire. Even if one clings to it and falls, one will not be reborn in the ten states of suffering from the twenty types of existence in the desire realm. Similarly, if one clings to the experience of clarity, one will also fall into the seventeen types of existence in the form realm. Similarly, if one clings to non-conceptuality, one will also fall into the four formless realms. Regarding non-conceptuality, if one analyzes with wisdom that "all dharmas are devoid of color, shape, boundaries, center, and everything else, like space," and thus clings to "all dharmas are like space," one will fall into the sphere of infinite space. Furthermore, it is said: 'O sons of the Victorious Ones, these three realms are merely mind.' Therefore, all dharmas are merely consciousness.
