Therefore, due to the ignorance of conceptualization, one does not truly know one's own awareness, and in the absence of self, one clings to self. In the absence of elaboration, one generates elaboration, and driven by the three poisons of attachment, aversion, and delusion, one accumulates karma, the ripening of which occurs separately, causing one to wander in samsara. Furthermore, due to the fault of not knowing because of being too close, although it is always with oneself, one cannot decide, like one's own face, one wanders in samsara due to ignorance. Also, due to being too easy, one does not believe, and small-minded people think that a Buddha is one adorned with marks and signs or possessing a Dharmakaya, and that such ordinary awareness is not, considering it meaningless, and therefore do not believe and do not know. Also, due to being too profound, one does not know, being distracted by the net of understanding, and separated from unforgetting mindfulness, one does not know due to the fault of not recognizing. Also, due to being too good, one does not know, letting the mind relax in its own state, and in that state, without any recognizable awareness, this clear self-awareness without object is the Dharmakaya, but one cannot accommodate such a Dharmakaya in one's mind and does not know. Therefore, one must abandon these ignorances, and the method of abandoning them is to generate diligence in the guru's instructions, the path of Mahamudra, and the stages of practice, thereby eliminating them. End of the second Dharma session. Secondly, the basis is thus, originally being the Dharmakaya, the means of manifesting it are the stages of instructions mentioned above, and the experiences and realizations that occur during the practice of them. Moreover, practicing according to the guru's instructions, most of the adventitious stains are purified, and one realizes that the mind is without inherent existence, and after recognizing it, one becomes accustomed to it. Although many methods such as the Three Baskets and the Four Tantras have been taught to realize it, this Kagyu tradition believes that everything is gathered into the profound path of devotion to the guru. As Götsangpa said: All the Vinaya Pitaka is gathered into the training of higher morality, and that is gathered into devotion. At the time of praying to the guru with devotion, afflictions and hatred do not arise, so it becomes the antidote to hatred. Likewise, it overcomes all afflictions. And so on. All the Sutra Pitaka is gathered into the training of higher concentration, and that is gathered into the profound path of devotion.

Gathered here. With devotion to the Dharmakāya, the mind of the Lama and one's own mind merge indistinguishably, thereby realizing that the essence of one's own mind is free from arising and ceasing, that Samādhi is unshaken by afflictions and conceptual thoughts, like a vajra-like Samādhi, and in that Samādhi, a hundred Samādhis gather, which is the common wish of Gonpo Drikungpa. Thus it is said. The Abhidhamma Piṭaka also gathers in the training of higher wisdom. This also gathers in the profound path of devotion. By the blessings of the Lord, the high, middle, and low all appear as the Lama Dharmakāya. All three of body, appearance, and mind are realized as one taste in the innate, uncontrived nature of one's own mind, thereby cutting through the attachments to all knowable objects and gaining control. Thus it is said. The four Tantras also gather in devotion, from offering the Lama with all of body, enjoyment, and so on, sacrificing life at the feet, and even if a thousand iron nails were hammered into the body, one would be delighted, like Jetsun Mila. This is the practice of the Action Tantra. Thus it is said. To this, constantly praying and proclaiming the beautiful banner in the ten directions is the Performance Tantra, the second is mainly showing speech conduct. Thus it is said. The unwavering longing of devotion and contemplating and arising all memories and thoughts as the Lama's mind is the Yoga Tantra, the third is mainly showing mind feeling. Thus it is said. If, by the blessings of the Jetsun, everything arises as coemergent wisdom, then it is the intention of the Anuttara Tantra, the fourth is only coemergent. Thus it is said. And so on. The four empowerments and the two stages should also be understood as said, they are all complete in devotion alone. Furthermore, there are also differences in Mind Essence Mahāmudrā and Phenomenal Existence Mahāmudrā, etc. Among them, the wisdom of the Primordial State Mahāmudrā, which is free from all extremes and exists in one's own continuum, is called Mind Essence Mahāmudrā. And all the dharmas of phenomenal existence, samsara, and nirvana, have not appeared to realize as one great wave of wisdom, this is called Phenomenal Existence Mahāmudrā. The method of taking the practice of this is all the above stages of guidance and the method of settling. The third session of Dharma.
