五者是,只为他人之故而作,信任他人之故。第四是,生活用具加持是,身与心自然安住,名称与见解相同,比丘的戒律清净。于具足五法的比丘前脱鞋,年长者前作礼,站立,双手持法衣。尊者请垂听,我比丘名某某,已作法衣,此堪能受用之物,加持为法衣袈裟。如是三次,善作方便。用具的衣服、坐垫、腰带等也同样转变念诵。于所需用具,请垂听,此用具我与梵行者共同受用的所需用具之衣加持之。三次和善巧方便。剩余的加持是,请垂听,我比丘名某某的用具,不适合,应作适合的此物,置于堪布之手令适合。信任堪布而持有之。三次和善作方便。第五,舍弃比丘的衰损,献供,抢夺,遗失,加持去除,信任他人,于死亡知为死亡而坏灭。第六是,袈裟是与外道和不圆满者作区别。(56a) 上衣和下裙是舍弃上下裸露之义。一切用具以无常之想而持有,所需的是供养三宝或为法而滋养身体之义。剩余的是为堪布等之义而思。第七是,总的来说,出家具足戒律者,袈裟是比丘的。第八是,舍弃浪费和不恭敬,变为其他标志等而持有之。第九,学习的必要是,直接地,持有剩余等之堕落遮止,间接地,脱离对衣服的贪执。第十,陈旧和耗尽时,取剩余,缝补,破损则缝补修缮,不适合则为施主之故,与泥土混合后修缮寺庙之墙面。第三,皮革之基础上,边地可以穿鞋和使用皮革,其差别是花哨的,用金等装饰的,发出声音的,鞋底高

The fifth is, acting only for the sake of others, trusting in others. The fourth is, the blessing of livelihood items is: body and mind abiding naturally, name and view being the same, the discipline of a monk being pure. In front of a monk possessing the five qualities, remove shoes, prostrate before the elder, stand and hold the Dharma robe with both hands. Venerable ones, please listen, I, a monk named so-and-so, have made this Dharma robe. This suitable item for use, I bless it as a Dharma robe, a patchwork robe. Thus, three times, do it skillfully. For items like clothes, cushions, belts, etc., also change the recitation. For necessary items, please listen, this item, I and those practicing celibacy, bless it as a necessary item of clothing for common use. Three times and skillful means. The blessing of the remainder is, please listen, the item of the monk named so-and-so, which is not suitable, this item that should be made suitable, may it become suitable in the hands of the Khenpo (abbot). Trusting the Khenpo, hold it. Three times and do it skillfully. Fifth, abandoning the decline of a monk, offering, seizing, losing, removing the blessing, trusting others, perishing by knowing death as death. Sixth, the patchwork robe is to be distinguished from non-Buddhists and the incomplete. (56a) The upper and lower garments are to abandon the meaning of being naked above and below. All items are held with the thought of impermanence, and the necessary is for offering to the Three Jewels or for nourishing the body for the sake of the Dharma. The remainder is to think for the sake of the Khenpo, etc. Seventh, in general, an ordained person possessing discipline, the patchwork robe is for monks. Eighth, abandoning wastefulness and disrespect, changing into other signs, etc., hold it. Ninth, the necessity of learning is, directly, the downfall of holding the remainder, etc., is prevented, and indirectly, detachment from attachment to clothes. Tenth, when old and exhausted, take the remainder, sew, if torn, then sew and repair, if unsuitable, then for the sake of the benefactor, mix it with mud and repair the walls of the monastery. Third, on the basis of leather, in border areas it is permissible to wear shoes and use leather, the difference being that they are colorful, decorated with gold, etc., make noise, and have high soles.
