After receiving the full ordination, even with abortion and other situations, if not yet twenty years old before reaching twenty, then the full ordination will be broken, because the body and mind have not matured in any way, and the basis of the precepts is lost. Even if not yet twenty, but perceiving oneself as having reached it, and receiving the near-full ordination, if there are abortion and other situations, even if already twenty, but at the time of receiving the ordination thinking that one is not yet twenty, the precepts will not be broken. If one has already been born and there is no other cause for abandoning the precepts, then the body has matured and is the basis of the precepts. If born and not yet twenty, but with abortion and other situations, receiving the ordination, then the near-full ordination will be obtained, and faults will be created for the abbot, teacher, and sangha. For someone who has reached twenty, even if perceived as not having reached it, it can still be the basis for the precepts. A novice monk who has reached seven years old, but if with abortion and other situations, receiving the ordination, then there is a fault for the parents. 3. Digging the earth, etc. The basis is: Again. The action is: Digging. That is, without illness or other reasons, taking the recognized earth, digging oneself or having others dig, digging more than four fingers wide, then one will commit a downfall. That is, for the precepts that belong to taming other monks, when saying "I will not learn", without being mistaken, and changing the motivation, with the intention of not learning. The action is, saying to the precept guardian: "You don't understand, go ask others, in the meantime I will not learn this precept", starting to say these words, if the meaning is understood, one will commit a downfall. 6. Listening to disputes. The basis is: Again. Part of the action is: Monk. That is, when others become opponents in a dispute, and are engaging in any dispute, not because of error or wanting to pacify the dispute, but in order to stir things up, with the intention of listening, raising one's ears to listen, if the meaning is understood, one will commit a downfall. That is, if one starts to consume fermented grain alcohol, or unfermented wine made from grapes, etc., or intoxicants such as herbs, and swallows it into the throat, one commits a downfall. If it has no intoxicating power, only a smell, and one rinses the mouth without it being for the body, or applies it to the body, etc., one commits a misdeed. If a sick person only rinses the mouth and applies it to the body without swallowing, there is no offense. If it is said that boiling alcohol is not an offense, it refers to that which has no taste or power. 10. Going at an improper time. The basis is the time of prohibition: "Also."
