The proclamation of the established manner of what should be done is: Thereupon, I... So it is said. The category of remainders. Second, in reciting the remainders, for the sake of abandoning slander, in summary: Holding semen, speaking of intercourse, offering respect, mediation, houses, large buildings, and baseless things, a little division of the Sangha and following that side, ruining a household, and causing displeasure. So it is said. For the purpose of generating respect for the scriptures, reciting for the purpose of bestowing the scriptures: Endowed with life... and so on. The basis of the first remainder's appropriate occasion, together with intention, is: As in intention (19b). So it is said. And the application with special distinctions is: Arising... and so on. Now, the precepts of that should be stated: The limb of the basis is one's own, not moved from the initial position, with the intention of desiring to give, the application is happiness through touching and acting on the form of one's own limb. For the sake of knowledge mantras (Tibetan: རིག་སྔགས་), seed syllables (Tibetan: ས་བོན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: बीज, Sanskrit Romanization: bīja, Chinese literal meaning: seed), medicine, and examination, ultimately, when the seed syllable has moved from the initial position, it is a remainder. From the beginning of the application to the main part is a gross offense: withdrawing after already entering the sheath, and withdrawing without it being oneself, and what arises from merely holding the limb is a gross offense. What should be confessed and what should be guarded is as before. Directing the continuum of a person with attachment and directing towards a grazing place and looking is a misdeed. There is no transgression: touching something like clothing or scabies, and rubbing against the receptacle without the desire to withdraw, and being embraced by a former wife or daughter, and accidentally falling from being held by a woman, if one has not tasted pleasure, there is no transgression. Second, regarding holding, the support together with intention is: Again... and so on, and the object together with application is: Woman... and so on, and the ultimate is: I... and so on. If those are spoken of in detail: The object, a woman, suitable to be relied upon, undamaged, the actual body remaining in an ordinary state, or hair, or something like hair extensions related to that, if a monk's own actual body is undamaged, with undistorted perception (20a), and holding with touching with attachment, it is a remainder. Until the ultimate, it is a gross offense. Thereupon, a woman who is unsuitable to rely upon, and a man who is suitable to rely upon, and a hermaphrodite, and a eunuch, and an emanation female other than an animal, and touching a woman with a thin cloth separating, and smooth and greasy.

Touching a woman with a mind of desire, and inserting a penis etc. into a woman's sexual organ, is a gross offense. For men, women, hermaphrodites, incarnate women, and those who are physically weak, and touching a woman with feet etc. in an arrogant manner, and sitting on a woman's seat, and not helping a woman who has fallen down when one has the ability to do so, etc., are minor offenses. What should be learned is: even without a mind of desire, one should not touch a woman, and for women who have fallen into the water etc., one should rescue them with the thought of a sister. Situations in which there is no transgression are: a weak woman embracing, and a woman offering to a bhikshu, and a bhikshu falling down and being grabbed by a woman, and a mother embracing, and a daughter sitting on one's lap when one was previously a householder, and an unconscious woman unintentionally falling on top of one, these are not transgressions if one does not take possession of them. Third, regarding sexual language. The basis and thought are: again, etc. The object and union are: woman. etc. The union and metaphor are: man. etc. It should be explained as follows: the object is an approachable ordinary woman (20b), not one with magical powers, who can speak, understand meaning, and exists naturally, to this, a bhikshu, with the meaning of expression, in that time and place, clearly speaks the real name of sexual intercourse, this person knows and is not confused, with the motivation of wanting to experience the pleasure of speaking, with a mind of desire, speaks himself, or accepts what the object says, if the object understands the meaning, then it is real. Gross offenses are: not understanding gestures, and speaking to a woman with magical powers, and not real sexual language but related, praising the wound (door (healed well etc., expressing praise and non-praise, and thinking of sexual intercourse and saying please give me etc., and do not disobey her etc., and even without a mind of desire, naturally speaking sexual language out of habit, these are gross offenses. The offenses of confession and protection are as before. There is no intention to speak of sexual intercourse, but thinking of other meanings, the result is consistent with the name of the definite word of the region, then there is no transgression. What should be learned is: for all that becomes the door to transgression, such as speaking sexual language, one should abide with careful protection. Fourth, regarding reverence. The basis and thought are: again, etc. The meaning and union of what is said are:
