Among the two, explanation and independent explanation, since the independent explanation has already been extensively discussed, please refer to it there. Secondly, (divided into) two: debate and answer. First (debate): If quiescence is that (reality) at any time, then wisdom will not enter it. Without wisdom entering, it is absolutely impossible to generate a definite understanding that possesses the object of knowledge. How can complete non-knowing become knowing? Because it would become contradictory. Without a wise person, how can you show others "it is like this"? The reality of unborn form, etc., and also known by wisdom. When all elaborations are pacified, it is the suchness of all phenomena, at that time, wisdom will not enter it in any way, because if it is said that consciousness arises as possessing the aspect of an object, it is called recognizing the object, then, the wisdom that realizes that unborn suchness will not become the aspect of any object, because emptiness has no aspect, so the wisdom that realizes emptiness will not become the aspect of an object. If, as claimed earlier, wisdom does not enter, it is also impossible to generate a definite understanding that possesses the object of knowledge of that suchness. In that case, how should this emptiness be known? Furthermore, if it is thought that complete non-knowing is completely knowing that (reality), that is unreasonable. Because how can complete non-knowing become knowing? Because it would become contradictory, because non-knowing and knowing are contradictory. Moreover, if there is no mind there, no wise person, how can you, the Madhyamika, show others "understanding such meaning"? That is also unreasonable. Secondly, (divided into) two: refuting the unreasonableness of realizing suchness and refuting the unreasonableness of showing that (suchness) to the world (369a) . First (refuting the unreasonableness of realizing suchness): If the unborn is that (reality) at any time, and wisdom is also free from birth, then, those dependencies, just as it relies on it and realizes that (reality). Just as the mind becomes the aspect of any object, it (can recognize) that object. Knowing in that way by relying on convention is recognition. Just as the mind becomes any aspect of an object such as blue, that mind can completely know the object such as blue, as stated by the Sautrantikas, etc., when everything is unborn, the object-possessing yoga

When that wisdom also becomes devoid of arising, then that wisdom, it is as if through showing that the form of that unborn realm is unborn, thereby realizing the suchness of the object. This is also relying on the fame and speech of others, that it is regarded as awareness. In reality, it is not that some object is severed by some subject, because both are unborn. The meaning of these words is that in the Madhyamaka-Svatantrika, regarding whether the Buddha has wisdom or not, nothing is said. Even so, if according to the worldly saying, following the reason of dependent origination, then in the unexamined conventional truth, the mind and consciousness of sentient beings, due to the complete aggregation of causes and conditions of delusion such as ignorance, therefore have the cause and effect of arising and ceasing, etc. But the Buddha does not have these, therefore the Buddha himself does not have the cause and effect of the arising and ceasing of wisdom. Even so, for other disciples, the Buddha seems to have wisdom such as power. This is because the result of accumulating the collection of wisdom, merely as dependent origination, appears without deception. So, if from the perspective of others, from the cause of the collection of wisdom, stainless wisdom arises as the result, then wouldn't wisdom become a real phenomenon with its own characteristics? It is not so, because all such cause and effect are established as imputed (369b) imputed phenomena. To this, some people who cling to reality like zombies say: The cause and effect of the Buddha's wisdom is also merely imputed, and it is considered very inferior to appear in front of others. If so, then can vases and spindles, etc., also be imputed as the cause and effect of omniscient wisdom, and in front of others, can they also play the role of the Buddha's wisdom? You people who are like blind people in the snowy region are telling the truth. However, this Dharma principle has not been fully accommodated even by the vast wisdom sky of the great masters of the holy land. Whatever is imputed, if it cannot appear as a phenomenon of dependent origination, then for the imputation of the conceptualization of narrow-minded people, it is true that it cannot appear in that way. If a certain phenomenon can appear as a phenomenon of dependent origination, then for innate wisdom, whatever is imputed as karma, cause and effect, samsara and nirvana, etc., will not be confused in name. If it is not so, then the conceptual division
