How do I know poison? Here it is to be known that, since all knowledge that grasps false conventional objects is deceptive, all minds with conventional knowledge are mistaken. Even though it is stated in all the Mahayana teachings that the wisdom that sees the conventional in the Buddha's realm cannot be established through analysis. However, other Mahayana commentators, fearing the shame of saying verbatim, "There is no omniscient one in name," were unable to speak verbatim. But, Master Chandrakirti, with a fearless voice, said that the Buddha does not have wisdom and mind that make conventional, false dharmas as objects, because he has already completely abandoned the two obscurations along with their imprints. Therefore, saying that the omniscient one does not even have the wisdom of the omniscient one is not even slander, because upon analysis, both the omniscient and non-omniscient of the Buddha are elaborations. Therefore, if one says that the Buddha has the mind of the omniscient one, that also becomes slander, because it is saying that the omniscient one has elaborative dharmas. Such a key point, like a great ocean of dharma not fitting into the throat of a tiny creature, is written in the Madhyamika writings of rTa (367b) Nag go chen rab 'byams pa: If the Buddha does not have wisdom, then the wisdom of the constant extreme will become impermanent. And if one asserts impermanence, then is the antidote wisdom that cuts off that constant itself or something else? Also, therein: Although as many conventional things as there are appear to the Buddha, they do not appear as arising and ceasing, because the way of knowing of the conventional wisdom of the noble Buddha is an unsurpassed, superior dharma that is distinct from the lower three nobles. When he sees that as many conventional dharmas as there are without arising and ceasing, the wisdom that grasps it is self and permanent. Saying such things, etc., which cannot be established even for eons by either scripture or reason, are written very many. Alas, the wisdom of the tenth ground, the constant extreme, having itself done the deed of destroying all the imprints of dualistic appearance and illusion, does not remain in the nature of a moment, but having become non-existent, that is the characteristic of the nature of dharma by dependent origination, and not the wisdom of the constant extreme.

Why is it necessary to seek a separate destroyer? For example, when consciousness itself arises as the nature of clarity and awareness, and performs the action of grasping objects, it itself does not remain in the nature of an instant and vanishes, then that momentary consciousness does not need to seek a destroyer from elsewhere, just like that. The wisdom that understands the meaning of the absence of arising and ceasing in all conventional phenomena is the knowledge that realizes the ultimate truth, not the knowledge that knows all conventional phenomena. If knowledge is the knowledge that knows all conventional phenomena, then all conventional dharmas (368a), which have the characteristic of arising and ceasing from causes and conditions, when viewed by the Buddha's knowledge, are known to be without arising and ceasing, therefore, the Buddha's knowledge would become mistaken. Furthermore, knowledge is mistaken because when viewing the aspect of all conventional phenomena, it does not see it as having that characteristic. Apart from conventional phenomena that arise and cease from causes, if someone says that there exists a conventional truth that does not arise from causes and is without arising and ceasing, then that person can only be said to be extremely ignorant, and would not appear in the Buddha's teachings. How could the constant knowledge that knows all conventional phenomena without arising and ceasing become a mind that knows objects? Because constant things are devoid of function. And, from the proximate cause of the impermanent knowledge of the end of continuity, the result of the constant omniscient knowledge will arise. Or, omniscient knowledge will arise without a cause, or if it arises from a cause, then such knowledge is constant, which is contradictory. If constant knowledge that knows all conventional phenomena without arising and ceasing takes an object, then will that object become a self-characteristic or a universal? If it is the latter, then knowledge will become conceptual; if it is the former, then it will become direct perception, therefore, the common basis of direct perception and constancy is contradictory. If it is thought that knowledge is a constant "self," then it will become the unmistakable view of the non-Buddhist Samkhya school that the consciousness of the enjoyer of objects is a constant "self." Now, it seems necessary for you who speak, debate, and write to focus your minds somewhat on the texts that are being discussed above (368b). The analysis of the boundaries of whether the Buddha has knowledge or not is in the seventh chapter of the Samdhinirmocana Sutra, and there is other content in the first chapter of the Samdhinirmocana Sutra.
