Having unobstructed wisdom and power, able to enter into all things separately, and understanding the knowable of the three times, this is considered strength. The ripening of desired actions is pleasing, the ripening of undesired actions is displeasing, and the opposite of this is a mixture that is neither entirely virtuous nor non-virtuous, as well as the uncontaminated action that is the cause of the exhaustion of karma. The Sutra says: One is purely white karma, one is purely black karma, one is mixed black and white karma, and the uncontaminated action that causes the exhaustion of karma, there are four types of karma. Here, too, it is in this sense. In this commentary, "inexhaustible real karma" is put forward, and it is said that "because it is not finished, it is the cause of inexhaustibility," which is spoken in terms of the real existence of Nirvana in the lower school of our own tradition. The statement that "the cause of exhaustion is uncontaminated," which contradicts the Sutra and the Abhidharma of the Mahayana, is correct. Among these four types of karma, uncontaminated karma has no ripening, so the ripening of the other three is extremely complex, contained within the three times, and can also know its own nature, intervals, differences, etc., having unobstructed wisdom and power, able to enter separately into the places and times of the beings to be tamed, it is the power of knowing the actions and ripening of the manifestation (379b) that has the ability to understand the objects of knowledge of the three times. The third is: The desire produced by the power arising from attachment, etc. is: extremely complex, whether inferior, medium, or superior, all want it. The knowledge of the intention covered by other things is: pervading all beings of the three times, it is called strength. Attachment, hatred, and other afflictions, as well as the intention of special liking and thought that is held by the power of the seeds arising from faith and other virtuous dharmas, is very complex, whether inferior, medium, or superior, all want it, and this desire is also, for the intention that is covered and obscured by other manifest actions such as attachment, etc., one can also know its own nature and differences, etc., because it pervades all beings of the three times, so it is called the power of the Buddhas to know various intentions. The fourth is: For the classification of the Buddha-nature, the skillful ones say: The nature of the eyes, etc. is the nature. The wisdom of the perfect Buddhas is infinite,

The difference is regarded as the power of entering into concentration. Regarding the classification of the Buddha realm of emptiness, those who are proficient consider the nature or essence or emptiness of speech, such as the eye, to be the realm. Therefore, the knowledge of the perfect Buddhas, which is divided into emptiness and so on, pervades all realms, and is therefore infinite. In all cases, there is no obstacle to entering into the distinction of the realm of emptiness, and this is considered to be the power of knowing the various realms. The fifth is: The most acute of universal distinctions is considered supreme, while the intermediate state and dullness are said to be non-supreme. The ability of the eyes and so on to arise mutually, knowing all aspects, is called the power of non-attachment. Universal distinction is the master of afflictions, because it is the owner of generating desire and so on. The word "etc." means that faith and so on are the masters of purification, because they have the power to generate virtue. Among them, the most acute master is considered to be supreme and outstanding. The intermediate state and dullness are said to be non-supreme. These and the nature of the twenty-two faculties such as the eye, the eye takes the object, (p. 380) the ear as a common factor, generating eye consciousness and so on, the nature of the ability of one to achieve the fruit for the other, understanding in the mind, that is, knowing all aspects without hindrance, this is said to be the power of knowing the superior and non-superior faculties. The sixth is: Some paths are the victors themselves, some are the self-victors, Bodhi and the Hearer Bodhi, hungry ghosts and, animals, gods and humans, and hells and other destinations, knowing this without hindrance and infinitely is regarded as power. Some paths are considered to be the victors themselves, some paths are considered to be the Bodhi of the self-victors, some are considered to be the Bodhi of the Hearers, some are hungry ghosts and, animals, gods and humans, and hells and other destinations, and so on in various ways, knowing the destination as it is, without attachment and infinitely entering, this is considered to be the power of the teacher knowing the path to all destinations. The seventh is: The world is infinite, the difference of yoga
