There is no harm, and the establishment is the same. The first thesis is accepted. The second is established by valid cognition. If you think so, all things will become persons, which will become an unprecedented good saying. If they are different, then when one person commits one act of killing, that person's continuum will receive two actions and two results, because the self that is the basis of karma and its result and the destruction of that basis accumulate the actions of the basis of things, so the results also arise separately in the same way. Also, it is not established, because when the actions of people are accumulated, those two together only accumulate one action. So, is that kind of action undivided or divided? If it is the first case, it will not become part of the action done by the two bases together, because that action is undivided. If you think so, that action was not done by the parts of the two bases. If it is the second case, that action is not one, because there are separate parts done by the two bases. In particular, the Madhyamaka-prasangika must accept the self that must be accepted in its own system and the two selves that are to be refuted by the sign, a total of three, except for some Sthaviras (藏文,स्थविर,梵文天城體,sthāvira,梵文羅馬擬音,上座部) and some Baushrutas (藏文,कुछ बहुश्रुत,梵文天城體,kucha baushruta,梵文羅馬擬音,一些多聞部) of its own school, there is no such statement in the scriptures of any of its own schools. Saying that is that you have established what the noble Chandrakirti (དཔལ་ལྡན་ཟླ་བ, Śrī Candrakīrti) refuted in this treatise, will it become the noble Chandrakirti's treatise being well spoken? Although there was a lower part of its own school that said that the person self that must be accepted must be accepted, claiming to be a Mahayana practitioner but accepting the person self did not appear earlier than you here in India and Tibet, so you, including your followers, if the basis is established, it is not non-self, this is like the wind spreading among the general Buddhists, this is not pervasive, because the self that is accepted is established as the basis and is the self. This is the uncommon tenet of the Prasangika, which was proclaimed by Manjushri (འཇམ་དབྱངས, Mañjuśrī). Therefore, a large book should be added again, because it is necessary to organize the tenets. If the basis is established, it is necessary to establish the rule that non-self cannot be removed, alas! Here it is said: Those beings who have spent many eons in the animal realm, they have not seen the self that is the basis of karma and its result, but they see that self-grasping also works on them.

Therefore, it is necessary to contemplate that there is no "self" other than the aggregates. Moreover, you should also admit that the dharma of the existing "self" and the non-existent "self" in the knowable, because you admit both the "self" to be negated and the "self" to be admitted, and consider that the former does not exist even in the knowable. The subject has been admitted. The pervasion has been established. If you admit, then it is very good, all of your own tenets (280a) will be consistent and firm. Furthermore, if you think that the "self" to be negated is not a dharma, then the "self" to be negated does not possess the characteristic of generating self-grasping. What is it that establishes whether it is a dharma or not based on possessing or not possessing characteristics? Because the "self" to be negated in the subject has not been established as a dharma. If you admit, then the "self" to be negated in the subject has a subject, it is not the subject to be negated. Because it is not a dharma that generates self-grasping. Furthermore, if you think that ordinary people, even birds and animals, establish through valid cognition the real phenomena that serve as the basis for the cause and effect of conceptual imputation, and are not satisfied with merely the existence of imputation, and if you seek the meaning of such imputation, then that is going into the investigation of reality, which is a unique investigation of the Consequentialists. If you say that, then the dependent arising, the conventional truth, is widely known in the world, and the perfect Buddha and the master Nagarjuna have clarified the truth in terms of convention, the dependent arising of the conventional world, then it will not be necessary for the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to make sentient beings understand through the immaculate teachings and reasoning. Because the meaning of the conventional in dependent arising is the phenomena that arise in dependence on imputation, and all ordinary people also know that as the basis for the cause and effect of imputation, they merely do those things on it, and are satisfied with that, therefore those people (280b) will not specifically seek the meaning of the Middle Way, so they will not seek the meaning of imputation. If you admit, then haven't you also praised that dependent arising is taught in a way that only the omniscient can realize, and ordinary people cannot realize? Furthermore, if all phenomena are nothing other than imputation, then is the subject to be negated in the subject imputed and established, or not? If it is, then like other conventional phenomena, it exists in name.
