Such negation, saying there is not, is not the meaning of the Sutra. (240b) Secondly, if the mind of the formless realm is true, it contradicts the Sutra. The reason why mind is primary, and the three reasons why form is not primary. The first is: If you know that these are only mind, then from that negate form, and then again from that, the Great Lord, why do you say that mind is born from delusion? The meaning of the Sutra is to say like me, a Madhyamika. Like you, if these three realms are only mind, and mind is a dharma that is truly established in the ultimate truth. Knowing this, if you negate form from the Ten Bhumi Sutra, then again from that Sutra, the perfect Buddha, the Great Lord, says that consciousness is born from ignorance, delusion, and the karma of action, why would you say that? It should not be said, because if consciousness is established in the ultimate truth by its own nature, it does not depend on the causes and conditions of ignorance and action. Therefore, mind is not self-existent, but changes according to the presence or absence of the reversed conditions of ignorance and action, etc. Just as the appearance of hair changes according to the presence or absence of eye disease. Therefore, in the Ten Bhumi Sutra, the arising of consciousness from ignorance and action is like this, as it is said: "Thus, the aspect of the Bodhisattva arising according to the Dharma, fully understands dependent arising," and even "Death is also close to two actions, namely destroying action, and also producing the cause of uninterrupted ignorance." The details are to be seen in the self-commentary. Here, death is shown as a real thing as it is said in the world without investigation. In the upper and lower Abhidharma, it is also said that the death-mind is one moment (241n), which destroys the previously existing, and also performs the action of producing the existence of the next life. As it is said. Death is death, that is, the end of the previous life, the end of life, and death performs two actions. What the great Tsongkhapa said is unexamined, and is not established even in worldly convention. If death is the cause of birth, then birth is earlier.

Does it act as a cause of the same kind, or does it act as a cause of a different kind? If according to the first case, then it would follow that it never dies; if according to the second case, then it would follow that the result does not need to arise from a dependence that is in accordance with the cause. Whichever inference you prefer, even the most foolish herdsman in the world would not say that, so to say that and to consider it the ultimate intention of the great scholar Nagarjuna and the characteristic of Chandrakirti is unreasonable. Therefore, if death and destruction become the cause of other things, then in the auto-commentary of this treatise, a sutra is quoted: 'Aggregation produces conditioned phenomena, separation does not produce conditioned phenomena, collection produces conditioned phenomena, non-collection does not produce conditioned phenomena.' etc. Like this, can you still deny that separation, non-collection, cessation, destruction, past, and stopping do not produce the continuity of things? The conclusion of such a statement, again in the auto-commentary of the sutra 'With the cessation of ignorance, actions cease' etc. is quoted, saying: 'Consciousness arises as long as there is a cause dependent on it, when the cause ceases, the result, namely consciousness (241b) is also known as ceasing in worldly terms.' This is indeed the well-spoken word of Master Chandrakirti. By this very point, even the perfectly enlightened Buddha, who possesses all the qualities of un-usurped omniscience, does not have mind and mental consciousness or wisdom, because their cause, such as ignorance, has been completely eliminated.' From this fearless lion's roar, the teachings of Jowo (Atiśa), from Dromtön (འབྲོམ་སྟོན་, 1005-1064) to the three spiritual brothers and others, in all the commentaries on the stages of the path for the three types of individuals, it is unanimously stated that the Prasangika school holds that the Buddha does not have wisdom, and there are countless texts that explain the profound and vast teachings. However, Changra Gelek Pal (ལྕང་ར་དགེ་ལེགས་པ, 1454-1529) made many reproaches that should not even be repeated, saying: 'The perfectly enlightened Buddha has attained omniscient wisdom and knows all knowable phenomena, if you say that there is no omniscient wisdom, then who has a more wrong view than this?' Your system of view, meditation, and conduct is the Kadampa.
