All dharmas, in their own place, (139b) Having accepted the adherence to the true establishment of the truth of having a function, and with the fact that the way the object abides from its own nature as obscuring it, therefore all dharmas from form to omniscience are emptiness. If one does not understand the emptiness of emptiness in this way, and explains the emptiness of form etc. as the meaning of profound emptiness, then it will become something other than itself. In that case, the basis for the establishment of dharmas will not arise for the knowable, therefore it is even more inferior than the system of the materialists. Since it is impossible for all those who hold this system to realize the true nature, there will be no liberation of the three bodhis until this wrong view is reversed. This dharma teaching has spread so widely that the early Prasangika system of the venerable Atisha and his sons, Patshab Lotsawa's lineage and followers, like the Chinese monk Hwashang and some Mahamudra practitioners and the Dzogchen system, has deviated in meaning, and therefore that system is close to setting in the west. Those who hold the early Prasangika system without error are the great incarnations of the Dagpo Kagyu, and some of their disciples, realized yogis, and Lochen Gyabchok Palzangpo, Jetsun Redawa, and Taktsang Lotsawa, etc., seem to have been as few as the stars in the daytime. Therefore, although the system of good explanations known as the New Prasangika or New Kadampa is not bad, it is taken in moderation, like the common view of the early Prasangikas such as Jowo's Kagyu, especially the explanations of the four sons of Patshab, and as it appears in the Great Madhyamaka Notebook of the great being Rema Jgawa Jangchub Tsondru, in order to fulfill the wishes of those early holy beings, I say this: All these dharmas from form to omniscience are from the beginning free from all the characteristics of elaboration such as existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, knower and knowable, one and different. The non-conceptual wisdom of the samadhi of the great aryas, in a way that does not see any elaboration or characteristics at all, each of their own

When viewed with the wisdom of the ground, the ultimate truth from form to omniscience is merely labeled as "suchness." It is not established as something independent of the noble meditative equipoise, nor is it different from it. There is also no noble meditative equipoise that is different from the ultimate truth. Furthermore, regarding the phenomena from form to omniscience, childish ordinary beings, from the characteristic of form being destructible to the characteristic of omniscience being the manifestation of all aspects, in terms of essence, existence and non-existence, one and different, knowable and knowing, expressible and expressing, and so on, due to the ignorance of clinging to things as real, which has been habitual since beginningless time, all the labels applied to persons and phenomena are called conventional (140b) from form to omniscience. Those are also not established as being separate from the ignorance that conceives them, nor are they the very ignorance itself. If not examined, it is only when unexamined that it feels pleasant. If examined even slightly, it is merely a collection of causes and conditions. Since it is not truly existent by nature, it follows and abandons the terms of expression and conceptualization. It is merely a name, merely an expression, merely a label, merely a concept, merely an imputation. If examined very well, then those phenomena from form to omniscience are primordially pacified of all elaborations and signs. It is not as if they become free from elaboration by being seen by the noble ones, or become free from elaboration by being examined by reason, or are made free from elaboration by emptiness. Therefore, the phenomena found in the minds of those who do not examine and those who examine slightly are called conventional. What is found by those who examine very well and by the noble meditative equipoise is called ultimate. Therefore, even for a single object like a pot, childish people find an endless amount of essence and especially superimpositions, so it is conventional. The noble ones do not see any of those anywhere, and seeing in a way that nothing is seen is called ultimate seeing. Therefore, the two truths are not different in meaning, but are established on the minds of delusion and non-delusion.
