Because it is flawed. Because on that basis, not seeing the cause of fire, but producing the effect of no smoke, the cause-and-effect relationship is established, which is obvious. If it is considered fundamental, then such a reason is not the reason for not seeing the cause. Because, whatever is acknowledged, is the reason for the cause establishing the effect. Therefore, please think carefully and speak appropriately. Generally speaking, there is no actual fire seen there, so the absence of smoke is produced; just like no rain, so no crops grow, although it is not an actual cause and effect, it is also classified into the category of similarity, which also appears in the treatises of the logicians of the common Sutra and Mind-Only schools, who hold the name and fame. Generally speaking, for the arising of any dharma, as long as it does not cause an obstacle, focus on it, and if such a dharma is regarded as the cause of other dharmas, then as the Vaibhashikas acknowledge, regarding the agent cause of the arising of a vase as an obstruction, even if it is acknowledged, there is nothing wrong with it. Furthermore, the exhaustion of oil, although it prevents the continuation of the lamp (195b), the exhaustion of the lamp's continuation is not the producer, because the cause is not exhausted, it is the producer of the effect, the cause is exhausted, it is not the producer of the effect. If so, then the cause, the exhaustion of the seed's ability to produce sprouts, will also have the fault of becoming the cause of the effect, the non-arising of sprouts. If acknowledged, then the non-arising of sprouts is not non-arising. Because the non-arising of sprouts has the cause of arising. Moreover, the cause is exhausted, it is the exhauster of the effect, if it is said like this, then in any case it is not well thought out, because all things, after the cause is exhausted or past, the effect in the present and future will appear to arise without exhaustion. Just like the seed of the sprout is exhausted, but the sprout itself will not be exhausted. Even so, it is not that the seed is broken, so the sprout is produced, but the seed is broken, so the opportunity for the sprout to arise is delayed. It is very sad to be biased and decisive about the Buddha's intention without understanding the key points. The second point is that for the destruction of things, worldly people only see the gross continuous changes, and do not think about the subtle impermanence of the destruction of things. Among the proponents of things, especially the Shravakas such as the Vaibhashikas

Regarding those eighteen (referring to different treatises or viewpoints), there were many different opinions on whether subtle moments and impermanent things would perish or not perish in the moment of their self-origination. However, all proponents of substantiality agree that birth and death, and existence are considered substantial, while unborn, destroyed, and non-existent are (196a) considered non-substantial, and there is no disagreement on this. If we explain how destruction is applied to substantial entities in both Sutra and Tantra, and how the system of moments is established, then destruction and impermanence are established on conditioned things and existence that are the objects of direct perception of the senses and consciousness, and that have a function. This is because destruction and impermanence are not applied to unconditioned non-entities that are beyond the direct perception of the senses and consciousness, and to destruction, i.e., non-existence. Destruction and impermanence consume the present object in its own time, thus opening up space for the emergence of subsequent objects. Among them, the destruction of birth does not prevent the continuation of birth, but perishes while giving rise to birth. Although the destruction of cessation does not perish with the function of generating the subsequent stream of birth, the nature of birth is established as the destruction and impermanence that causes cessation. Therefore, the destruction of birth and the destruction of cessation are similar in that they are both destruction, but one has the function of generating birth, and the other has the function of perishing without relying on other factors, so it does not become the agent of the destruction of birth. The former destruction of birth helps to generate the subsequent destruction of birth, while the former destruction of cessation does not help the subsequent destruction of birth, so the subsequent destruction of birth does not occur, and thus becomes non-birth, so the former substantial continuum vanishes, leading to the interruption of other substantial continua. (196b) Among them, the destruction of cessation or the destruction that causes cessation is not cessation itself, because cessation itself cannot be the destruction of cessation, and the non-entity of cessation is not the object of direct perception of the senses and consciousness, because non-affirmation is not the object of direct perception. The substantial result of destruction and impermanence, that is, the cause that produces destruction, is also a factor of destruction, other
