Thus it is completely shown. Thus it is said. Therefore, the Bhagavan said: The actions of embodied beings, Even in a hundred kalpas will not be wasted, When assembled and the time has come, They will ripen into fruit. Thus it is said, the reason for not being wasted is: The realists believe that from the individual to the alaya-vijñana, the basis of karma and its results, which are established by each, exists, so it is not wasted. Here, because there is no self-nature, it is not born, so it is not destroyed or ruined. Therefore, it is impossible for anything to be wasted. In name, like the arising and ceasing of emptiness, in front of false consciousness, the relationship between karma and its results is not unreasonable, so it is said for others. In our own system, the relationship between karma and its results is not definitely established here, because the rationality of the arising and ceasing of things here cannot be established by any valid reasoning of our own system, so it contradicts any commitment. However, in the face of the deceptive consciousness of the world, it is only a statement to dispel the wrong notions that karma and its results are unreasonable. If so, if you have not seen any relationship between karma and its results, how can you dispel the wrong notions of others? It is true, but in the confusion of those who have not realized this, after slandering karma and its results, they engage in reversed acceptance and rejection, so it is to avoid falling into the great abyss of evil destinies. Although the basis of karma and its results, such as the alaya-vijñana, is not promised, it is not impossible to dispel the wrong notions of others. Those who promise the basis of karma and its results, such as the alaya-vijñana, also only think that if the basis exists, then the continuity of karma is uninterrupted, so it is reasonable to produce results from non-cessation. Here, too, because the arising and ceasing of karma and its results are free from the eight extremes or do not cease, it is not contradictory to produce results from non-waste, so it can enable others to understand. It may be allowed that karma does not cease because it is not born, but how does a result arise from an unborn karma? All the results that arise are empty of self-nature, and arise from unborn dharmas, as shown above by many examples such as images. Cause and effect are reasonable for those who have no arising and ceasing by nature, but if karma arises by nature, it contradicts karma and its results and all names.

This action is to write down the meaning of these treatises without any error, like the great chariot of the Prasangika school, the teachings of the qualified individuals who appeared in the snowy land (Tibet) in the past, without mixing in one's own words, so the fortunate ones should regard it as a place of trust. Here, the great Tsongkhapa and his followers say: It is unreasonable for the heretics, both internal and external, to establish the basis of karma and its result as being established by conventional valid cognition. Even so, the destruction of the basis of karma and its result is done by a real entity, which is a unique characteristic of the Prasangika school of the great scholar Chandrakirti. To say so is actually slandering the teacher Chandrakirti, because what the teacher refutes is precisely the teacher's view. Because if the teacher says that karma and its result have the nature of existence and non-existence, arising and ceasing, then all things will become doctrines of permanence and annihilation. The heretics, both internal and external, fearing that the connection of karma and its result will be severed, establish the self-nature of real phenomena as its basis, none of which are established. Here, the doctrine is established and widely explained. However, again here, in order to establish the basis for establishing the connection of karma and its result, there is no need to establish the self-nature of real phenomena with great effort, but you say that you want to establish such a situation, and you have made many syllogisms. In this way, even if you smear it on the teacher, you cannot cover it up. What fault will there be from making many unprovable syllogisms? The teacher refutes the real phenomena that the heretics, both internal and external, accept as the basis of karma and its result, and all these faults will fall on their own views. In particular, in order to fulfill the intention of the great scholar Nagarjuna, the teacher completely refutes that karma and its result, and its basis, etc., are established as real entities, and even if they are not established in this way, he emphasizes that the deceptive nature of karma and its result, and its basis, etc., is merely the nature of false appearance, existing as dependent arising, and establishes it as such. It is not that this teacher is making great efforts to establish the destruction of karma as being established by its own nature.
