When contemplating, one examines the phenomena of conventional truth. When worldly people abide without examining conventional truth, one should not analyze the truth of worldly conventions. Therefore, when not examining, it is reasonable to merely repeat what worldly people see, such as "this exists, therefore that arises," because one must rely on its acceptance and rejection to enter into it. As it is said: Just as barbarians cannot grasp with a foreign language, similarly, apart from worldly people, one cannot grasp the world. Also, it is said in the scriptures: Without relying on conventions, one cannot realize the ultimate meaning. Without realizing the ultimate meaning, one cannot attain nirvana. Thus it is said. When examining the phenomena of conventional truth, all conventions disappear in the eyes of worldly people. It is said in the sutras: For example, relying on wood and strings, plus the effort of the hands, when these three come together, sounds arise from instruments such as lutes and flutes. Therefore, when wise people investigate, if they inquire "where does it come from, where does it go," and investigate in all directions and corners, they will not find the coming or going of sound. Similarly, all conditioned phenomena arise from causes and conditions. Yogis who see reality as it is see conditioned phenomena as empty and unmoving. The aggregates, sense bases, and elements are empty inside and empty outside. They are empty of beings and have no place to dwell. And so on, extensively explained. Because of the need for verbal expression, when accepting conventions and entering into them, one should not accept them after examination, because after examination one cannot find them, and therefore no establishment of conventions can be made. Also, when one is bound by the signs of conventions, one should examine and analyze conventions with reason, and strive to pacify the signs of elaboration. Those who establish conventions after examining them with reason are establishing conventions in a reversed way, because if one can find conventions after examining them with reason, then they will become ultimate truth and cannot be conventions. If one cannot find them (178a), conventions will disappear and become ultimate truth. Second, at that time, with what kind of reason, from self and other

The birth of a non-class, because that class is also a non-class in name, with what does your birth become? Those who are attached to things say that everything that is established as a thing exists in both truths, and when they are examined separately, they are afraid of the suspicion of the world's annihilation, and say that there is a Dharma that is established as the nature of a substance that becomes the cause of samsara, all defilements, and purification. Even if you swear an oath like this, it will not be established in the place. Therefore, when examining the ultimate truth, with what reason, as mentioned before, does it establish that things are not born from themselves or others? Because that reason is also not reasonable in terms of being born from themselves or others in name, what does your birth in both truths become? Therefore, birth is not established. This non-birth in both truths also depends on the wisdom of the yogis, and it is established that the characteristics of birth and so on are extinguished. Otherwise, if the signless of non-birth is established, and there is no such establisher, then everything is just a name, what is there to become the essence? Also, some Svatantrika Madhyamikas say that although they observe illusory illusions, they are also free from elaboration in the conventional, but they say that they do not prevent birth and so on in the conventional. This is to introduce the worldly people, and to carefully expect the practice of the first karma, so they say it like this. However, there is no need to admit it like this for this purpose, and if it is necessary, it will also become a contradiction for you. Because the fault has been widely stated, it is not reasonable. (178b) After the particularly profound view of emptiness is determined, when practicing meditation, cut off all elaborations and signs, and when entering into it, it is said that birth and so on are not prevented in the conventional, what is more inferior than being attached to signs? Also, some such as Blo brtan say that by "not born from self" and so on, Master Nagarjuna only prevented the nature of the parikalpita, but not the nature of the paratantra. And the Bhagavan said, "All dharmas are without nature, without birth, without cessation, originally peaceful, and naturally completely liberated from sorrow," etc., are also the parikalpita.
